That is even assuming 100% separation and efficiency which is not possible. A barrel of crude will not produce more than 131 litres of distillates and NOT only petrol but a mix. So the calculation is an over estimation. A litre of gasoline will cost above N700. Still well done. 1 Like |

Biodun556:The refinery being a single train refinery was a massive engineering mistake ...even as a basic economics engineer I saw it ...it should have been 150,000 refining columns separates ... build like 4 or 5 ...so you can operate with one or two One or two can be bad and your refinery can still be active but this if anything happens the whole place shouts down 4 Likes 1 Share |

Stop looking for every possible means to defend these guys in govt If we let this subsidy go, thats a big sacrifice from the masses owing to the fact that thats the only little help we get from the govt. Ask them what they are prepared to sacrifice also Try to cancel the sitting allwowance or even entertainment allowance of those at the national assembly you will see their reaction Do you know the yearly budget of the Aso villa for feeding alone? ...are they ready to let go of their feeding allowance?
