who wakes up one morning and announce subsidy removal without first initiating measures to cushion its effects. Is it right to put the cart before the horse rather than the horse before the cart. Tinubu online janitors and tribal warriors are paid to trivialize the issues on ground but funny enough if the know the feelings in the streets of North and most parts of Nigeria, they will tread softly. They will end up destroying the little left of this country, this is a timely advice.
Leaders all over the world are being More careful in handling its citizens now because this is infotech age and the world is now a global village, people are more louder and assertive and their voices are heard allover.
From Sudan,Senegal and other places,it should be a big lessons to our thieving elite Leaders.

But reverting to the old price won't be necessary since transporters and Keke drivers won't reduce the transport fares, they should fight for increased in minimum wage and palliatives to small scale business owners and graduates without jobs.

TUC, NLC, Electricity Union and all this Igbo/Bia.fran led ipob.ist unions need to be ignored they do not mean well for Nigeria.

Reason why despite privatisation the electricity remains stagnant too many non Nigerian Saboteurs.

The drug induced President thought it is everything he can has his way through agberos style. In 2014 he claimed there is nothing like subsidy. But today he is removing what he said never existed.

Good demands. Good measures should be put in place before the removal of subsidy. Let the rulers subside their allowances and other irrelevant expenditures first. Do Nigeria's rulers really care for her citizens? What a country rule by agberos and touts!!!

Tinubu should not be trusted, the way he removed the fuel subsidy heads on shows he was not prepared for leadership and he underrated Nigerian people. We all support subsidy removal on meeting some important and critical criteria. Trust Tinubu or any Nigerian politician at your own risk
Tinubu removed subsidy, abi there is no provision for subsidy in the budget?
Re: Increase In Wages, Reversal Of PMS Pump Price: TUC Lists Demands To FG by FireUpNow(m): 8:02am On Jun 05, 2023
Tinubu fought GEJ by staging occupy Nigeria protest by sponsoring and hiring people to gather at freedom park, Ojota over fuel subsidy now he will face the wrath of the people for failing to do the right thing. President Tinubu should do the right thing before removing fuel subsidy. He was a local champion as a Lagos State governor, Nigeria is a different ball game.

tinubu removed subsidy immediately because he heard Peter Obi saying he will remove subsidy immediately grin
now they are blaming Peter Obi with some saying he is the NLC president

Very unintelligent comment

Between bat and obi, who said he was going to remove subsidy first?

When obi was asked, he didn't give a straight answer.. Until bat declared he will remove it. Then obi also said he will remove it.

Obi was a coward, he could not say it first cos he was scared. But here you're saying bat copied him.

And again, what will the difference be if obi removed it or if he's the president now?

Right way to go. TUC and NLC should be on the same page of demands from FG. Ordinarily, if Tinubu understands what hardship is all about he would have increased workers salary without agitations from the citizens. Removal of fuel subsidy is a good move. But once the price of fuel goes up, all other goods and services goes up with it, yet salaries remains the same. How is that reconcilable?

Electricity is stagnant because despite privatization, government still sets the prices of electricity...and they set it below the production cost of said electricity...meaning the sector cannot make much of a profit to fix things.

Has nothing to do with electricity workers.

Tribalism will kill us in this country. Good thinking president will not announce subsidy removal at the inauguration ceremony without assuming office to know what’s on the table for his leadership. I don’t expect a man who is suffering from dementia to think properly that’s what we got from EYE-NECK

If you have a major infection and there's a general consensus that it is best for you to go through surgery to remove the infection, will the doctor not provide you with anesthesia and other pre-surgery care before the surgery? You will still be provided with after-surgery care for some time. All these is done to help you deal with the pains of the surgery.

Regardless of how necessary and urgent the surgery is, if the proper patient care (before and after) is not administered, you risk unintended consequences that could worsen the patient's condition. No doctor does surgery first and give anesthesia after.

This post is not about surgery!

Ur wailing will not stop the strike. Better prepare urself.
U claim to be in support of APC/Tinubu's subsidy removal without fixing the refineries, yet u cry when you get to the filling station to buy petrol.

The same lies they sold to us that kerosene & diesel prices will drop once subsidy on them is removed due to market forces but till date, how far?
It hasn't stopped the govt criminals from looting the economy dry.

If not that the leaders are senseless and daft, people have been complaining of minimum wage being low and they couldn't do anything to increase it, and this is before the fuel hike, how do they want people that couldn't survive with minimum wage when price of fuel was 185/l to survive with same minimum wage when price of fuel is 488/l

We have been talking about subsidy for at least 12 years na only you just wake up from slumber cos we all done agree say it must go.

All that time I have been waiting and preparing hence only use it for car while a lot of people just folded their hands like children waiting for govt palliatives and buying bigger cars even.

Don't mind those desperate old & clueless politicians toying with the lives of over 200 million Nigerians.

I lack words to describe those u support them because of tribalism or other sentiments whenever they embark on some of these anti-people policies despite being affected by same.

Oh well! Minimum wage should be 60gs for a start.. open the borders ffs, if you want to remove subsidy put measures to ease the effect.. after selecting you, do we have to think for these people too?
Seconded.
It's not a rocket science, that's how it's done in every part of the World except Nigeria.

For every intention to remove subsidy from any sector, there exist a cushion effect in increasing the minimum wage etc
