obj didn't do too badly by giving Dangote and few others special privilege to rise. It was when the successive govt made it a tradition to give Dangote special treatment further down the line that it became an issue. Giving him so much forex without securing at least a 50% stake in the refinery project was a colossal error. Had that been done, any monopolistic tendency will have been halved and mutual. Half of 650,000 BPD is well above the maximum operational capacity of the four govt refineries.
