Insane work culture. You can wake up at 5 , be in office by 7 am, and work till 10 pm. (I am not joking..it is even just as bad in South Korea). Yes, that is how Japan came back from destruction in World War 2,

Then wages are stagnant. (Someone even said stagnant since the early 1990's). Enough for single man, but for a man wanting to bring up children...not enough.

Then they have this funny culture...if a woman marries and gets pregnant, she has to leave work, and become housewife. Yeah, not woke...until the childcare costs come in....

Daycare is expensive. School? Not too expensive, but the afterschool activities (you need to enroll your child for extra lessons if you want them to get into good secondary schools and universites)...cost money. University? Dem no subsidise am like Nigeria. University there is expensive man.

Then Japan is a ultradeveloped country. To the point that things that would have been met by a wife is met by tech there.
