Traditional rulers well grounded to fight insecurity – Ooni tells Tinubu

Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has asked President Bola Tinubu to make use of traditional rulers to tackle the issue of insecurity in the country.

The monarch spoke on Friday, during a courtesy visit by the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN) to the president at the state house conference centre, Abuja.

Ooni, who is the co-chair of the NCTRN, said Tinubu should not underestimate what traditional rulers can do, given their closeness to the people.

Most of this Traditional Rulers are Saboteurs.........They wine and dine with Terrorists. Na greediness go kill most of them. Mtcheeew.

Though the Ooni is talking based on what obtains in his geopolitical zone. Same applies to the north.

As we all know, in the North and South West, elders are held in high esteem while the elders in turn respect the obas and emirs. Based on this, it is easy to control insecurity because these chiefs can easily direct the elders to punish any youth involved in acts constituting insecurity.

Organised situations like this is impossible in a society where everybody sees himself as equal to their leaders and chiefs. In some cases, those leaders are killed and used for pepper soup.

Tinubu is well exposed and always think out of the box. He knew fighting insecurity without carrying traditional kings along is a void.

Now that Tinubu is ready to fight the battle from the beginning then I can predict that there will be peace in Nigeria soon.

I'm not even a tinubu supporter but Obidient. If we are to say the truth, tinubu is getting it already.

He has been making big move ever since he come to office and a person like me that want a new Nigeria will never downgrade his effort.
