The rx330 that was delivered to me from abroad is giving me headache... Car has been working perfectly since until it started to rain and seems like the rain empties inside the car floor...

I have permanently sealed the roof, checked the rain pipe/host and water drains out from it very well yet even the windshield I just returned from the mechanic and I was told the fault isn't from the windshield.

Where is your location? I am in Abuja. If you are here. I have some artisans that specialist in that in Gudu.

I am exhausted, I don't know what else to do.

Have you checked maybe it's dripping from the front bonnet cos my RX300 sometimes do have few dripping on my left foot when it rains heavily.
I didn’t bother to ask anyone looked at it though. Cos, it's not much.
Not from the bonnet either...
Once it rains, inside of the car is very dry but once I remove the footmat everywhere is soaked...

Yes, it's very possible and have done it several times in the past. That's back then when it's easier to access dollars. But with the current high rate of exchange, I don't think it's worth it.
But you try it through auction export if you can afford it. They are genuine and reliable. I have bought and shipped more than three cars to Nigeria through them.
Good luck!

How was the custom clearing and how long did it take?

I gave it out to someone who is already into the system... It went smoothly and I wasn't directly involved

I buy all my cars from UAE

Before you do that, secure a clearing agent with concrete agreement, the dudes can change narrative once car arrives.

I buy from site with clean in and out inscription, though a bit expensive but I am not a risk taker.

It's best you have someone on ground to inspect and move to shipyard.

In all, it's cheaper and more reliable as what you buy has history unlike the refurbished cars we have at car stands.

Good luck.

Yea, it worked but the stress was too much and the cost was way over what I could have gotten it for in naija. Though I got a 4plug highlander suv 2010 model... Spent total of 8.3m but Nigerians want to buy at 7.6m🤣.
Just buy your thing in naija if possible

You should buy insurance when shipping a container.

That is cars that were destroyed by flood, especially during hurricane. It's common with cars from Florida.

I wouldn't ship a car from abroad. Rather buy in Nigeria. Clearing cost and lots of other prohibitive factors.

My wife shipped a car last year to Nigeria to her mom and it ended up more expensive than if bought in Naija.
That how I order Apple Watch series6 and AirPod from USA after shipping and clearance it was more expensive than the price in Nigeria .

I bet it's from your windshield, check it yourself by splashing water continuously on your windshield and checking the inside. I bet your windshield was replaced and the guy didn't do it well. I suffered this same issue until I had to uninstall and reinstall it. I gave the guy a sound warning to use enough gum...The issue stopped.

The mechanic I took it to said the windshield has not been been replaced before, he poured more than a gallon of water on it to prove to me and I confirmed the issue isn't from the shield.
The panel beater I got now, declogged the pipes two days ago again immediately it rained today the problem sufficed.

I think it's the most easiest thing to do these day's just that you should do your assessment before finalising the payment, check their website, there address on map because most foreign car dealers have a visible location on map and also some reviews from buyer. And you can request a video call just to be sure the car is real or picture's also.
I personally have bought 5 truck from last year to date mostly from Europe though
Best of luck

I am having the same issue with my mazda 5, the right hand (passenger) side front floor is always messed up with water. I wonder what the reasons could be?
