*DEMOCRACY DAY: CHIEF DR. GEORGE MOGHALU FELICITATES WITH NIGERIANS*

The Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Chief Dr. George N. Moghalu has call on all Nigerians to continue to support the effort that will help in deepening democratic values towards ensuring that the people are major stakeholders in the process of governance.

"Democracy Day marks the turning point in our history, when we as a nation defied all odds and chose to rebuild our motherland on the principles adhered to by many nation's before us; that the people of a country can stand sovereign over their elected leaders.

Therefore, It is important to use this day to reflect and be reminded on the need to continue to give service to our people. If you have been elected or appointed into key government offices or positions, you should note that it is only but a privilege. In all our actions we should know that those who have given us the mandate to serve them are our masters and we are their servants.

On this note, I call on all Nigerians and friends of our dear country to continue to support the efforts that will help to deepen democratic values towards ensuring that the people are major stakeholders in the process of governance knowing that the people and the government hold the key to the solution of our problems and we must work together to make our country truly great.
