This bad news remind me of my service yr in Patigi(2009/2010). When me and my friends one from ugheli another one from Ogoni wanted to cross this river to Niger state on needless adventure.
When we got to the river bank my liver dropped...I jejely told them; guys I can't cross this river with u,they tried every trick to convince me but I refused.
They had no choice than to abort the mission and return home.
The turbulence at the centre of that river will scare a stranger away

Seems most people are pitying for the married couple and not the families of those affected.

That is why I hate any [b]ceremony[/b] on the water no matter what they will give me to eat I can never follow you to the riverside to do RIP to the dead ones this will never be our owe this year

All this numbers of souls lost because of a wedding?. Ironically Funny enough the marriage might not even be long lasting.

Which village? We often even joke about it in the family, my mama go tell the guys sey "make una watch where una dey marry o, because me I nor go carry people go place wey far". And so far, the ones wey don marry, no go far.

As for our sisters, they get married in our parents' compound in the city. So you see, we've got that covered.

Oga local boat can carry upto 300 passengers at once.
Seems you are mistaken the boat to all this flying boat people are using to do boat cruise.

Anyway you haven't stay in riverine area else you don't have option than to use boat unless you will fly with chopper or helicopter.

That's how I used to say I won't travel using water transportation till I wrote my waec in 2011 in riverine area where i don't have any means of transportation than using flying boat to and fro.
