If you think Nigerians are lazy an like public holidays, then you need to come to Ghana because you haven't seen anything. It is by default in Ghana that any public holiday (no matter which type) that falls on weekend affects the next monday. They also have ridiculous 'days' such as Farmers' days, Nkrumah' birthday, Nkrumah's death annivessary, AU day. After independence day, they still have republic day, democracy day and presidential day. The one that really caught my eyes is the farmers day. |
