[b][/b]Massive bleed causes death quickly

You know why?

The total volume of blood in an adult is about 5 litres (avg 5.6)

You know 5 litres?

A child of 9-10 will have about half of that

Without the blood bring oxygen and other supplies and clearing wastes, the brain packs up.

Other tissues and organs will pack up, but once any part of the brain is starved, it dies in 5-7 mins

So once you see anyone bleeding

You must hurry

Try and stop the bleed

Always attend to accident victims.

If the bleed is from a limb, you tie the leg or hand to cut off supply from the heart. Then you can keep the ligated limb raised above the heart to slow blood flow.

If it's from the abdomen or groin, any such area

You must stuff the bleeding point and keep the pressure to slow or stop the bleed

Then call emergency.

Never pour water ‼️

You have to hurry.

If the person loses just one litre out of the five, the body responds by shutting down. The person goes into shock to preserve flow to internal organs.

If massive bleed is unattended to the victim dies in a moment

Remember that massive diarrhoea can almost have same effect. So if a child has severe diarrhea, you can't wait for the mother to return from work. Immediate ORT and rush to a clinic. If you leave he child it might die in a moment.

The loss of fluid in stool drains the blood, contracts the volume

You must always help once you see blood flowing.
