Simi may not have received international recognition for her beautiful voice for a number of reasons.

Simi is a popular singer in Nigeria, but she is not as well-known elsewhere. This is due in part to the fact that she sings in Yoruba, a Nigerian language, which confines her audience to Nigerians. Furthermore, she has not traveled as extensively outside of Nigeria as other African musicians such as Burna Boy and Wizkid.
Competition from other African artists: Simi faces tremendous competition from other outstanding African artists seeking international fame. Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, and Yemi Alade are among these artists.

These musicians have all released successful albums and singles that have found popularity on global streaming platforms and radio stations.
Awards bias: There is a widespread belief that international award shows favor musicians from the United States and Europe. This is due to the fact that these artists have greater resources and are more visible to a global audience...

If she is successful in her country, she doesn’t need any more recognition. We’re in the Afrobeats era where international acts beg ours for collabs. Her husband is getting featured by African American artists. It’s possible she chooses to shy away from them.
