This demolishing of structures every now and then by the government is really irritating and very disheartening.

Do yhu have alternative for them? Yhu just wake up one morning and discover some structures are illegal...no provision made to accomodate the affected people, yhu just pushed them out like that.

Those shops might just be the only source of survival for most of them, demolishing them mean throwing them into poverty with no means of survival.

Illegal or not, the government should be very reasonable in handling issues like this.
Our government must be the most heartless in the universe. Visionless and directionless.

How many times do yhu hear government in other countries destroy structures like we do here?

Tinubu should first provide justice to those killed at the Lekki toll gate during the Endsars protest.

Is it that Ezu River massacre and the Awkuzu SARS killings do not matter to many because it was Igbo lives lost?

Is Igbo life not worth something?

Lol Shop for that side doesn't matter....

Infact even life for that side you can see the Akwuzu SARS case they don't care Abt it for once the people av Neva Protested for the guy to be tracked or even du Sit at home to get the guy arrested....

Buh make 1 person die for Lagos he be like say na life of 1million people.....

You are right.

They do not care about life in the SouthEast.

See below comment from a rabid Obidient, justifying the Awkuzu SARS police brutality and killings.

Ironically, the account owner considers himself a bird of reason.

How sad.

People are still dragging obi at this point in time. Chai ekwelekwe! These guys have truely refused to move on😂😂😂

Assuming Awkuzu SARS killed like 3 of your mother's children, we would have seen how easy it is to move on.

You guys have made Igbo lives so cheap that no one in Alaigbo even cares when Igbos are killed.

Kudos to you for refreshing the memory of average Nigerian person.

A person who presided over the worst massacres of SARS ,with countless bodies in EZU river suddenly became a torchbearer of humility and saint.

From Jan onwards day in and day I called out OBI and his supporters to explain about EZU river massacre.

Tinubu should provide justice to innocent IGBO people killed by OBI administration in EZU river.

Tinubu should provide justice? It is nice but do they have a councilor representing them in the LGA? Do they have an LGA chairaman? Do they a member representing them in their State Security Council? Don’t they have a member from that constituency in their State House of Assembly? What about a member representing them in the House Of Representative? Don’t they have a member representing them from their Senatorial District? Is there no governor in the State? What is the duty of those guys? Why were they elected into office? Why can’t you call them out? You left these many persons who failed in their duty to represent the people to be calling out OBJ and now Tinubu. The attorney general of the state can sue the commander of the then SARS or the NPF, go that way, it is when it fails that you can call out the FG, everything shouldn’t be dropped at the door of the FG, you’ve other officers receiving salary cause of you, ask them to work for their pay.

If the shops are not illegal structures, the owners must be compensated.

Just look at the rubbish you typed now! Na so e easy to move on? There was one couple whose all their three or four kids were rounded up at different times by SARS, detained, money obtained from the parents and their boys were still extrajudicially murdered. And you sounded like you know their pain.

The difference here is that the government didn't ask the shop owners to pay millions just before demolishing their shops.

Who then pays for the demolition?

I know this news will make FP because it's Igbo land, on Nairaland states like Kebbi, Ekiti and Taraba doesn’t exist, Nigeria ends in Lagos, Abuja presidential villa and South East
