Flexy27: If I say I give 20k every midnight sharp, if you come at 12:03am, you would need to wait for 23hours 57minutes before you can get your 20k. If you come at 11:55am, you will be waiting for just 12hours 5minutes! Many people have missed flight bookings and some important TV/Sporting programs simply because of this am/pm misunderstanding. I guess that's why the British came up with the 24hours style clock. 12:03am would simply mean 00:03, 11:55am means 11:55 while midnight means 24:00 (No need to state AM/PM for 24hours style) I hope this clarifies. |

franciskaine:lol for real ?, with all these your analysis you still don't realise that 11:55am is actually few minutes before noon lol .. I am shell shocked |
Re: Solve This Easy And Yet Tricky Question by belshazzar(m): 11:24pm On Jun 23, 2023 |
CaptainFM1:lol dude , don't you get it at all, time is actually the factor in this problem, 11:55 am is actually day light, and its way far from midnight, whilst 12:03 is actually few minutes past midnight, the x factor is midnight, don't just make absurd illustrations 1 Like |

belshazzar: But he's right! The interval is measured to midnight and not noon. |
Re: Solve This Easy And Yet Tricky Question by CaptainFM1: 11:31pm On Jun 23, 2023 |
belshazzar: You still will not get my 20k if you come that day. You are a typical Nigerian time person. And everytime you show up at 3minutes pass midnight, I would remind you that someone had "ex-factored" you by arriving some 12hours ahead of you and waited till midnight. If you come the following day again at 12:03am, I would still have handed my 20k out to the early and patient bird that waited from mid day till midnight because time moves clockwisely. You defined your X-factor as midnight, I define it as the time Interval on a normal rotation of clock and not like some typical Nigerians trying to wind clocks backwards. Clocks move clockwisely Sir and not anti-clockwise. |

Re: Solve This Easy And Yet Tricky Question by ctcores: 3:16am On Jun 24, 2023 |
The answer is very simple. Understanding of English is the problem people have here. For instance, What is the closest market to your home ? It doesn't matter whether your home comes before or after the market. Therefore, the correct answer is 12:03am period. 1 Like |

belshazzar: Are you then going to create adjectives for every minutes of the 24hours in a clock? The only Adjective for 12:00am is midnight The only Adjective for 12:00pm is Noon. Lest you will call 12:35pm noon and 11:35am midnight too. Afterall, they are close to the time. The definition of noon and midnight is standard. I would suggest you check the literal meaning up in the dictionary. This is why anything after 12:00pm is called .... AFTERNOON (Even 1second beyond noon is termed Afternoon and not Noon). If you're a sailor like me, you would understand meridian calculation and the brain behind am/pm. Noon and Midnight are standard all over the world to mean 12:00pm and 12:00am respectively. Now to the tricky puzzle..... Does your clock moves anti-clockwisely or clockwisely? If you understand the concept of 24hours clock style it should be easy-peasy.

let me refrain the analysis like this, Car A ( 11:55am) is 5m before a junction(mid night) Car B (12:03am) is 3m after a junction (mid night) Which car is closest to the junction ![]() The correct answer is obvious!12:03am Now relate it to the real question t see the right answer Correct answer is actually 12:03am ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 1 Like |

tymicjay77: I know in Nigeria we drive in the reverse or perhaps face wrong way at times because we are lawless people. All this argument only buttress our lazy attitude aim at justifying the so called "Nigerian time" If your train leaves at Midnight, get to the station at 12:03am because your own clock moves backwards. Black man and backwardness! In a sane clime once your Car B has passed the junction at Noon, you will have to drive round and round and could perhaps take you hours to come back to the junction you missed. When using analogy, be very objective. Does clock move anti-clockwisely or clockwisely? |

Obinoscopy:11:55pm is the answer. At 11:55 pm it’s just 5mins ‘to’ 12:00am (midnight), while 12:03am is enormously 23hrs,57mins ‘to’ 12:00am (midnight) |
Re: Solve This Easy And Yet Tricky Question by dotuntayo: 6:28am On Jun 24, 2023 |
Non of the above is correct, midnight is 12pm. Option A and C are close to noon when option B and D are after midnight as your question is 'close to' not after midnight. |

There would be lectures on how to fly at night, how to change appearance, how to disappear and how to punish offenders in the upcoming orientation/interview and new members would get full grown wings to enable them fly at night. So what are you waiting for? Dm now and grab your copy. This message is from: The P.R.O TAESM. Olobe Eyesanlori Atipanyankere. |
