Patience nd perseverance nd nothing more. If not for patience most of the marriages we see clocking 30 to 50+ yrs would have dissolved b4 even celebrating the first anniversary. My parent have been married for more than 30 yrs but the truth is that in the course of the marriage they passed through challenges that could have ended the marriage but through patience nd perseverance they're still a union nd that has taught me alot as a guy.

RESPECT. AGAIN RESPECT. LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH. Compromise, simple understanding. Never date someone who is not on the same level of understanding as you, or who doesn't want to put in the work to make it work. As a man know your worth.

Every time we have a fight my husband will never let me go out of the house with out us settle the problem, one day I ask him why he always does that ? He said women Will alway want to tell there friends there problems and the friends will always claim to have solution to there problems than ur problem double it size.

GOD WHO MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH

I'm talking about marriage, not these days relationship.

Mutual respect, tolerance and financial capability.
May our pocket be blessed.

My relationship is 6yrs old and we are getting stronger by the day with mutual love and respect.

She was 18 and I was 24 when we started but I think what earned me her love and respect was how I stepped up and lead like a leader.

First, I was a fresh jobless graduate living in a face me I face you. When I approached her she blatantly told me that relationship was last thing on her mind, to cut long story short we began, I am her first boyfriend.

As usual she said no sex till marriage and I agreed, sex was the last thing on my mind because to me I want to marry.

I pushed her to become a better person, instead of sitting and waiting for admission, I pushed her to learn a skill, thought her alot and I am not only her advisor but also her confidant. 3yrs we dated and kept building ourselves many people even her parents and friends didn't want me around because they felt as guys do I would just eat and clean mouth but I kept assuring her that I am in for good.

It's been 6yrs down the line and everyone that doubted are now in the believe, her parents, siblings , friends, uncles etc plus Mine already see themselves as in-laws.... We have good relationship and have also built our finances too.

Till date I still do the things I used to do when we newly started, I pick her from work, I still take lunch to her in the office, we still gist, never have they been insults, infidelity etc, just vibes and love


We are taking a course now and focused on it, next year we will say we do

Commitment, trust , understanding and love.

First off I would say, knowing within yourself that you are ready for commitment.
If not , you’ll be having doubts along the line if you should continue or not.
But if you have made up your mind to be committed, you can easily sway those doubts of yours.
You have to make up your mind first of all and let go of those other girls totally.

Cos if you have this mindset that you have other options out there , trust me , it is only a matter of time , you’d give in to those thoughts and it will crash your relationship.

I would love to also add that, you’ve got to learn to have an open communication with your partner about everything that’s bothering you at some point and make your partner understand your point.
