This is our first post on Nairaland and I would like to use it to make a formal introduction about our business and operations.

Some time ago, a potential client told me that some construction companies in Nigeria who needed wood that were straight and properly dimensioned had to import it. I asked why? He said it was because there was no proper wood milling company in Nigeria. This story was kind of hard to believe for me so I investigated further. His claims where not completely valid because there are wood milling or saw milling companies that could produce sawn timbers to precise dimension but the reason why they are not known could be many but I know two from experience.

It is either that these contemporary sawmills have never considered giving their businesses visibility through deliberate marketing efforts or that they are busy milling timbers which they use for their internal furniture production.

Our company zubbywood sawmill has been in the business of wood for about ten years. We are like a hidden gem mostly because of the first reason that I gave earlier. Today, we have decided that the time is ripe for us to embark on the journey to make our business and the value that we can offer in the Nigerian wood processing/ saw milling industry known.

Over the years, we have invested in acquiring what I would call 21st century wood processing equipments that produces high quality timber that would rival others anywhere in the world. For us, competence does not just end with hardware acquisition. It has been complimented with requisite and complex skill cultivation through relevant technology transfer; having worked and partnered with several foreign wood processing companies.

We produce straight cut, accurate size timbers with great surface quality. Our sawn timbers are used for structural, architectural and construction purposes; exterior and interior wood application like wooden doors, wooden floor, wooden ceiling, decking, cladding, pergolas and many more.

We serve companies and individuals who want their wood in customised sizes or dimensioned to specific height, width and length for projects that we mentioned earlier.
