Chibuzoc: The most miserable people are the ones wailing daily, helplessly clinging to Lagos amidst crushing humiliation, and opening “why does everyone hate me” threads all over the place after tactlessly walking eyes open into political irrelevance. While others are building refineries and taking up juicy appointments on the daily. Ndo. 1 Like |

QuotaSystem: Keep deceiving yourself. Political relevance that made you the poorest people on earth. I reject such politics. If not for luggard we won't be having this conversation. |

Chibuzoc: There are poor people in every population so don’t fool yourself. That there are more on the other side on the fence, does not mean millions of your people do not suffer grinding poverty that drives them to escape Igboland in overloaded buses to hawk fanyogo in the SW and otapiapia in the far North to survive. Dismiss political relevance at your own peril, but stop polluting the forum with pity party threads when the consequences hit you hard in the face. P.S If not for Lugard…

QuotaSystem: Yes there is poverty everywhere but that of your people is out of proportion and calls for public concern making nigeria the poverty capital of the world. In the quest to gain new ground luggard came and formed nigeria and in that regards igbos are gaining new grounds. Political relevance that can't transform to prosperity is nonsense. If that nonsense makes you sleep well then enjoy while it last. For your photo, kindly google aba women riot in 1921 for your viewing pleasure or masturbate with the one you saved. |

Chibuzoc: Only in your dreams does political power not transform to prosperity. I guess all the Horses, Mansions and Mercedes owned by many in the upper-middle and upper classes of the Northern society dropped from the sky? You think those complaining of Northern dominance in places like NNPC, NPA, PPPRA and the likes are doing it because of pennies? You delude yourself. You think the superior infrastructure present in many northern cities including ongoing projects came by being politically tactless? How about all the institutions; academic, military and otherwise? The higher northern population is the direct cause of the higher HDI stats recorded for the region; but this does not preclude the existence of a wide, educated, comfortable and prosperous middle and upper class in the North, just as there is an existence of a wide lower & grassroot class in the East (e.g those deported beggars & those otapiapia and gala hawkers in the North and SW I mentioned earlier). The problem of many are lack of travel, ignorance, bigotry and lack of critical thinking when it comes to statistics. Fortunately the SS have stepped up to fill the void. |

QuotaSystem: The problem of the North is that they think power is everything. They never understood that power without vision is pointless. Today, the North is centre of extreme poverty as well as terrorism and banditry capital. |

The hatred for Igbos is real and started with the coming of Europeans, slave trade and colonization. Intially there was no defined Igbo territory but it was determined after the Biafran war as a way to weaken Igbos. Reason is because prior to colonization Igbos had no large political empire under common rule and common constitution as it existed with Oyo and Benin but were existing independently as clans, communities and tiny kingdoms with some under non-Igbo empires like Benin. My next comment will be the root cause of the envy and hate. |

The greed and criminal nature is too much, no morals or values, destroy anywhere they are, sell fake drugs, fake medicines, fake everything, just because of money. Trouble makers but cry like babies when you hit them back. 1 Like |

Now to the point starting from slavery. Because of the lack of centralized empire Igbos became vulnerable to slave merchants who were abducting them in droves and selling to Europeans. As a result of it the Europeans and those other Africans thought lowly of Igbos until the wisdom of Igbos started manifesting to the shock of both the other Africans as well as Europeans. 1 Olaudah Equiano Pascal then sold Equiano to a ship captain in London, who took him to Montserrat, where he was sold to the prominent merchant Robert King. While working as a deckhand, valet and barber for King, Equiano earned money by trading on the side. In only three years, he made enough money to buy his own freedom. 2 Jaja of Opobo Astute in business and politics, Jaja became the head of the Anna Pepple House, extending its activities and influence by absorbing other houses, increasing operations in the hinterland and augmenting the number of European contacts. Later on, a power struggle would ensue among rival factions in the houses at Bonny, led by Pepple House’s High Chief Oko Jumbo leading to the breakaway of the faction led by Jaja. He established a new settlement, which he named Opobo in 1869 where he became King Jaja of Opobo. This new status saw him declare himself independent of Bonny. Opobo soon dominated the region’s lucrative palm oil trade and became home to fourteen of what were formerly Bonny’s eighteen trade houses. Part of this success is attributed to the fact that Jaja made moves to block the access of British merchants to the interior, giving him an effective monopoly. At times, Opobo even shipped palm oil directly to Liverpool, independent of British middlemen. These moves by hitherto underrated slaves turning them to master of their presumed masters including Europeans and Africans came as shock and rather than accept the fact that the Igbo slaves used wisdom and hardwork to overtake them , they believed it was through betrayal and manipulation thereby creating generational hate of that era. Next is the era of colonization. |

QuotaSystem: Self deception is a worse form of mental illness, all what you listed are only beneficial to the politicians and their families. How do ordinary northerners benefit from nnpc and Co? What is the aim of politics, if not for the betterment of the people but with your political relevance, poverty and illiteracy have overtaking your people yet you cling to power without knowing what to do it, all thanks to status quo. It's better I sell gala than turn to almajiri, the number of almajiris in the north can form a country. Country of beggars 🤣🤣 ss can fill the void as long as we buy fuel and bread for same price no problem |
