Please guys I really need your sincere advice and suggestions. My dad died a pastor and a renowned one at that. We are ready to bury him but the village elders are demanding we perform some rites that we originally will not perform because of our faith. They insisted it's either we perform it or there's no burial. Please what do we do? |

If the rites go contrary to your dad's religious belief then you must insist and not agree to their demands. 2 Likes |

If your dad was not a member, then they have no right over him. Tell them boldly that you are Christians and you don't do contrary rites. I did same for my dad... My church stood by us. Infact it was the church that handled the burial. My dad was not even a pastor o... He just built the house of God and handed over to the church... Not talking of a pastor. 1 Like |
