Nigerian billionaire tech tycoon. Leo Stan Ekeh, to invest $250 million in renewable energy across Africa.

Zinox Technologies Limited, a renowned computer hardware manufacturing, and ICT integration company led and predominantly owned by Nigerian,Imo state born tech tycoon, Leo Stan Ekeh, has revealed plans to invest more than $250 million in renewable energy projects across Africa.

The announcement was made by Ekeh, who serves as the managing director of Zinox Technologies Limited and also chairs the Zinox Group. He emphasized that the investment aims to expand access to competitive and climate-friendly electricity supplies for both homes and businesses in Nigeria.

The funds, specifically secured for this ambitious endeavor, are poised to create new opportunities for enhancing the quality of life while lending support to developers, the Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria, and other key stakeholders involved in the priority projects.

The multimillion-dollar commitment comes after years of extensive research and tests running of durable and cost-efficient multifaceted renewable energy solutions designed for Africa, with a particular focus on Nigeria.

Zinox Technologies has established a strategic partnership with leading renewable energy companies in China, the UK, South Africa, and Dubai to achieve its goals effectively.

The unveiling of this groundbreaking initiative occurred during Zinox’s annual strategic business retreat, signifying a new chapter for the company that has been at the forefront of pioneering innovative technologies in Nigeria and across Africa for the past two decades.

As part of this initiative, Zinox will launch enterprise products and solutions specifically tailored to power off-grid solutions, estates, and hospitality businesses in collaboration with its partners. Additionally, the company will continue its consumer-focused efforts, building on the success of its iPower products designed for homes and small to medium organizations.

To ensure the successful implementation of these projects, Zinox has already commenced training for over 500 Nigerian engineers and certified technicians hailing from all 36 states, along with Abuja.

These skilled professionals will be responsible for conducting standard power audits, installations, and after-sales support nationwide, ensuring customers receive full value for their investment.

Ekeh, a visionary entrepreneur who founded Zinox Group in 2001 as a pioneer in West Africa’s computer manufacturing and information and communications technology solutions, has been instrumental in the growth of the company.

Over the years, Zinox has become a key player in Nigeria’s tech industry and a dominant force in African e-commerce. One of its subsidiaries, Konga, stands as one of the largest online retail platforms in the country.
