Roadmen pattern.
It's impossible to buy and not sell chief, not in this volatility rate.
They're buying and selling and targeting dom accounts is a less competitive way to acquire stock(fx) to sell.

So as an individual you have NEVER taken a decision you thought was right but ended up being wrong? Yes he made a mistake, just like I did with Buhari in 2015, so what?!
What makes a real man is to realize you made a mistake & retrace your steps. The fool is the person that made a mistake & sticks to it just because of what people like you will say.

Just listen to yourself. Only a thoroughly biased mind can be talking like this. It's like if you go b4 a judge and plead guilty you made a mistake marketing a fake product, the judge will not only not punish you at all, he'd make you chief inspector of all marketed goods!

Tinubu aggressively marketed Buhari TWICE. It is at least evidence of poor judgment. We may forgive him but we also ought insist he not be anywhere near the presidency!

I think what gtbank is doing will help if other banks key into it.
They buy off your dollars from your domiciliary account at black market rate and credit your naira account thereby generating needed forex for the government to use for those sourcing dollars from the I and E window, BTA/PTA etc.
There is enormous money coming into this country but which the govt/CBN are not capturing because most transactions are done in the black market.

True talk!

They can't take all the fx generated away, there are costs and obligations locally they have to pay for.

if you regressed the impact of that portion of annual income of shell on its contribution on the naira exchange depreciation; result will return -ve nd insignificant!!!!!

Hmmm.. do you guys think with unified exchange rate and naira devaluation policy the Dollar will come down before the end of the year?

It is not about dollar coming down ...it is about Investments coming in!

That is the myopia that sustained the "defence" of the Naira since Babangida days which stifled all sectors of our economy.

In America schools are expensive, Education quality is high, the students have to take loans or earn scholarships to get by... but guess what Nigerians who are protesting school fees hike are going abroad to school o ... without loan o.

The only thing that was really opposed was the fuel subsidy removal.

Let assume that was the only thing he opposed, what is patriotic about a man that opposed something he knew is good for the country in the long run? How do you say you love your country and then for your own political interest oppose what ought to be for common good?

Thanks to Igbo people for their politics of bitterness & hatred they played when Jonathan handover his administration to them.

All those dollars will end up in the black market. Those bankers are in cahoots with currency speculators. They'll create artificial scarcity and drive demand.

It would be of no use if the black market price is the same as the official.

You see the folly of children like you?
In court, as an offender who recognizes he has done wrong & pleads guilty without wasting the time of the court to go on trial, you are almost certain to get a minimum or relatively light sentence.
You can get a fine or 3yrs imprisonment for an offence that carries fine/3yrs jail minimum or 21yrs max. But if you are stubborn & plead innocent and there is a trial, if found guilty , you get the max 21yrs sentence.
THAT IS HOW REALITY WORKS, CHILD!

He totally misses the point.
The point is that under NO circumstances will the judge then reward him with ANYTHING, talkless of making him the supervisor of the same product he fraudulently marketed!

But that's the point, isn't it? A single rate across board. Maybe cheaper as it's competitive

The black market can't buy at the bank rate and sell higher their only profit now comes from sellers like you and I. But why would a seller like you and I go to the street anymore if, at the same rate I can get my dollar into Naira via a bank like GTB? As I said, the Apax bank or the gov just needs to block the loophole and monitor the activities of these banks.

lol, Don't play with banks o, they won't release it regardless of the threat. That is where their fortune comes from. I remember how banks frustrated Abacha dollars policies.
The banks always unite they can't be moved.

If cbn or oil companies could have a platfroms they could sell to general public; banks inclusive, if they want.
