Diablo 4: 6 Survival Tips For Torment Difficulty by Jimekalmiya: 1:11am On Jul 07, 2023 |
The Torment difficulty, also known as World Tier 4 in Diablo 4, this tier will drop lots of D4 gold, EXP, and valuable items. But it is the hardest difficulty setting available in the game. It will increase enemies’ HP and damage. It can be extremely punishing, requiring good class builds, gear, and a mindset to survive. So in this article, we will show you some best tips for surviving better in World Tier 4. Level 70 Is Recommended Torment has no minimum required level to enter. However, at this tier, enemies will all be at least level 70 or higher and might easily crush someone ten levels below them. So we recommend grinding out to a level cap of 70. With ten additional levels, players will have more skill points to play around with, higher health, and overall improved stats. Torment mode does include a bonus 200% experience gain. Level 68-69 players may also want to consider entering if their class’ build has high survivability. Use Nightmare Items During Nightmare Events, you can acquire nearly the best gear and items that give you a slight advantage. This includes weapons, armor, gems, and even unique elixirs. One will eventually obtain some of the strongest equipment by redoing dungeons and other encounters several times. Among the best are various potions that can grant a temporary stat boost - making Torment a little easier. Have A Focused Build Diablo 4 is all about builds. Builds for leveling, builds for endgame, builds for boss fights, builds for group and solo play, and builds for running Nightmare dungeons. For Torment Difficulty, Players will want to either focus on a “glass cannon” build that maximizes damage while eschewing protection; or a “tank” build that is all about surviving, even if it also takes time to kill foes. All these are safer to start! Fight More Defensively Damage, health, and even amount of enemies are greatly inflated during Torment difficulty. This can often mean fights and bosses that players have become familiar with could be a bit different - previously trivial attacks could now be one or two-shot kills. Instead of straight tanking hits, one may want to be more active with their strategy. And, always stock up and use elixirs liberally; many potions can quickly boost up hitpoints and defenses to make a fight more manageable. Play In Co-Op While it can be tempting to challenge Torment solo, there is always strength in numbers. Diablo 4 allows up to four players to form a party and journey together. Having a diverse team allows each character to cover gaps and help assist each other. Players can also choose to play at close to the same level or even team up with someone that has already obtained the new level cap of 100. Practice in Normal Mode First Last, this is maybe one compromise way. Fully complete Torment at least once in Normal mode to become familiar with enemy stats, strategies, and general differences. That way, it will be easy to make changes to build and have good muscle memory. It ends here. The strongest enemies and the best loot can be found on World Tier 4, so all these tips will help you better build up to this ultimate difficulty in Diablo 4.
