It was an epoch-making event at Abba town, Njikoka LGA last Saturday as the good people of Abba trooped out in their numbers to celebrate with their illustrious son, Hon Jude Akpua (Omekannia Abba) who won the March 18th elections for Njikoka 2 constituency and was also elected as the deputy majority leader for the State 8th Assembly.

The event which began with a celebration of Mass and blessing of St Jude Chapel of Adoration by the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship, Most Revd. Dr. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor and a reception at the celebrant country home had so many notable personalities in attendance.

The event also witnessed the presence of men of timbre and calibre especially of the Njikoka Constituents as dignitaries such as the Speaker of the 8th Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somto Udeze, Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, National Chairman, All Progressive Grand Alliance, Hon lfeatu Obi Okoye, Anambra State Chairman, All Progressive Grand Alliance ( APGA), the Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Protocol Officer to the Governor, Chinedu Glamour Nwoye, Hon. Ikenna Ofodeme Owelle of Ekwusigo Constituency, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, SA on Political Matters to Governor Soludo, Hon. Ify Obinabo, Commissioner for Children and Women's Affairs, traditional rulers, professionals and a host of other very important personalities who graced the special occasion in gratitude to God for the victory of Jude Akpua.

In his homily, His Holiness, Bishop Paulinus Okafor admonished all to continually pray for wisdom to pilot the affairs of life.

On his part, Hon lfeatu Okoye thanked God for the choice of Akpua as a member of the legislators in Anambra. He said the party will continually support everyone for the progress of the party and advancement of the Solution Movement for a livable and prosperous Anambra state.

Also speaking, the member representing Oyi Constituency in the state house of assembly, Hon. Innocent Ojike (OJICAM) thank God for the gift of Hon. Jude Akpua to the people of Njikoka two constituency describing him as a vibrant and resilient young man, a goal getter and one with huge plans for the people of his constituency and called on Ndi Njikoka to give him maximum support for effective representation.

"By the grace of God, we are the legislative arm of the government will work in synergy with the executive and the judiciary to build a livable and prosperous homeland promised by Gov. Chukwuma Charles Soludo," he said.

A friend of the host, though a former presidential aspirant under the platform of National Rescue Mission(NRM), Hon. Onyeka Nwafor applauded the person of the legislator as a man of integrity and honesty. He said the opportunity presents for him to bring positive developments to his constituency.

Another guest, a traditional chief, Ozonkpu Frank Nwokike urged the celebrant to ensure the dividends of democracy are nurtured and enjoyed by the constituents.

Appreciating, the host, Hon. Jude Akpua expressed his gratitude to God for his love and faithfulness. He prayed for God's protection and wisdom to serve his people selflessly.

Special dance sessions, prayers and presentation of gifts climaxed the event.
