What’s the difference between Kano 3 states and Enugu 5 states?

Infact from the data up there, the NW generate more electricity revenue than the SE.

It seems the SE are the actual parasite.

—Kano + Kaduna Disco = NW (22.6bn)
—Enugu = All SE (18.9bn)
I don't think so. Have you transversed the north before? The heavy consumers of electricity there are the igbos, followed by our people. They own hotels, factories, schools , shops,.just name it. Ibos hardly stay at home hence, the low consumption rate. Come to lagos and see for yourself . The north are the perpetual parasites

Did you see NC or NW trying to add Abuja to their own figures? Why are you guys not contented with the 5 SW states?

Must you add Lagos to SW so it can become meaningful?

Ignorance is a disease. How many cities in Nigeria today are more industrialized than Aba? Can you name them? Simple Google search will tell you that SE has EEDC and Geometric (Aba zone).

It has been argued in the past between Aba and Ibadan, and Aba won. You can check the thread!

Talking about Ogun state, we all know it would have been another dead zone just like Ekiti or Osun, without Lagos. Over 90% of the industries in are at the boundary with Lagos. Ota and Agbara were established because getting lands in Lagos for industries was becoming increasingly difficult.

Aba is more industrialized than any city or town in SW aside Lagos.

No mind the ethnic recluse who never travels outside his South West zone

Stop repeating such lies and hoping it will stick because no one is buying it!

Ikeja Electric also serves Ogun state- at least where I live.

True, some parts of Ogun state are under Ikedc. My aunt that lives in Magboro said some areas in the arepo/magboro axis are under IKEDC. I believe some parts of bordering LGAs like Ifo, Mowe, Sagamu and Sango Ota are also under IKEDC instead of IBEDC

Isn't industries easily identifiable again?

I can list so many big industries operating in Aba off hand. PZ, Unilever, Glass force, Flour mills, pharmaceutical companies etc etc.

I know ibadan very well too, aside P&G, biscuit companies, and some others what else is there?

Go and ask Shell why they built a dedicated gas pipeline to Aba. Also ask Geometric why they built Nigeria's biggest private power plant in Aba.

Travel around and be exposed they say no.

Don't mention travelling and those guys in the same sentence. They like half baked stories like kilode

So if Ibos are the own that consume electricity in the North, why do they not consume electricity in their SE zone?

So you mean all those rich and middle class Northerners with houses are using candle to light their home?

If I were the guy arguing with you, at this point, I will simply ignore you. Ignorance has finished you. You clearly haven't set foot on South East before. Keep on living on spoonfed misinformation.

I’ve been to the SE before. Passed through Anambra, Enugu, and then Ebonyi.

When I was in university, I did my Geology field trip in Nkalagu which is in Ebonyi. I think the area is between the border of Ebonyi and Enugu like they told us.

In that locality, I saw poverty and bad road. I can say till now, SE is the region where I saw bad road at its core. I won’t be able to survive 3 month living in that area.

This time was more than 10 years ago or so.

Below are the states each of the Disco serve.

SW states accounted for over 50% of Disco revenue.

Any investor trying to invest in state electricity should just bring it to the West. He can be sure that his company will make the profit easily.

Where exactly in the west should the investors bring their investments to?

The article is about how much revenue discos have made. If it is a discussion of revenue, are the discos fetching the money from rivers and giving out free electricity?

How does a particular set of people become "parasites" in this discussion of revenue if they aren't receiving the electricity for free or has the meaning of the word parasite changed in the dictionary?
