Fulani were one of the fiercest ethnic group that resisted the British. Yet their children have moved away from Arabic culture to Western culture.

You can say the British were acting in their own interest. But using a minority ethnic group like the Fulani over Hausa and Nigeria backfired on them also.

It also made the Fulani lazy. The uniformed ones have become terrorists foot soldiers. Unfortunately, many Hausa joined them as religious converts.

While some Nigerians gloat now for the cancellation of ISESE Festival in Ilorin, the religious intolerance will raise ugly heads throughout the country.

It has also made ISESE Festival more prominent inside and outside Yoruba land. Stay tuned.
