It's a big shame that Naira which use to be 3 times CFA is overtaken. Meaning all African countries using CFA are now our bosses. cc. Mynd44 Seun Oam4j Mukina Dominique 12 Likes 2 Shares

SpecialAdviser:That's good news if you know about economics and the Afcta There is no point having a strong currency when you are not producing for exports. Nigeria is taking over their markets with cheaper goods than the ones they import from France. The worst hit will be our immediate neighbor's 18 Likes 1 Share |

ekineme: Ihateheadslamer: Go and work hard and start producing something. Lamenting on NL is not work o. Quit the idle lazy life of social media. It adds nothing to the value of the naira. Go and build/ create something valuable too so it can land in those countries cheaper like the Chinese do. I will not respond to you again, abeg no vex. 14 Likes 2 Shares |

ekineme: @FreeStuffsNG is very correct. This is just simple calculation. Importing from Nigeria is more cheaper for these countries because they will use less CFA franc to get more Naira and buy luxurious goods to their country. We need to start producing alternative to what they import from France & other countries 5 Likes |

FreeStuffsNG:God bless you. We need to ramp up export like China and Vietnam did. USA fought China severally because Yuan is weak compared to Dollar, that's why Chinese products are cheaper in the Western world. 8 Likes |

What do those countries produce and export? Some people are dumb and wicked, if not for corruption, wickedness and backbiting, no African country would have seen our back in term of development. How did we get here? Tribalism and bigotry, Igbos came to Lagos and some other states to do business and flourish, what are they getting? oppression . They sponsored some disgruntled elements to destabilize their zone just to make sure Nigeria remains stagnant. 26 Likes 2 Shares |

Lifestone:Our Naira has always been weak against dollar and yuan but the level at which it has gotten now is troubling. The implication of what you are saying is that our neighboring countries can come over and buy all the available goods in our market, hence increasing our food inflation and the same thing is happening to our petroleum. When their currencies are stronger, they can afford to get more money to buy off our fuel, therefore causing us more problem. If our currency was stronger, all these wouldn't have been happing. I only pity the fix income earners. 17 Likes |

JAkpayen:You people are mad. The cfa overtaking the naira is an indication that the naira is dead. Nigeria imports almost everything. With a weak naira it means Nigerians are going to buy things more expensively. 25 Likes 6 Shares |

You guys just settle down and support trash. What are we producing, and what's the cost of living in Nigeria. We are largely an import dependent nation so this logic doesn't hold water. Lifestone: 19 Likes 1 Share |
