President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan said that Nigeria will not observed any Independence anniversary until 2014. He was addressing a press conference while on a working visit to Kigali, the capital city of Riwanda.

He said that this will enable Nigerians prepared for the centenary celebration of the amalgamation of the country,

Why will GEJ continue to embarrassed millions of Nigerians, a national policy statement that has a direct influence on Nigerians will be released outside the shore of this country, why can't he reserve such statement till his arrival in Nigeria, GEJ is a bunch of disappointment, Hiss, I think Dr. Reuben Abati is tending to be the worst SA on media in the Presidency,

Does not celebrating one's birthday make much of a difference? I am not sure I understand this one. Is celebrating the problem? Or the fact that we have not had much from him to celebrate, that is?? I believe the question has been "What is there to celebrate?". If after a year, or more, we have nothing to celebrate, canceling the birthday is NOT THE ANSWER . . . answering the question "WHY DO WE NOT, AFTER ANOTHER YEAR, DO WE HAVE NOTHING TANGIBLE TO CELEBRATE?" should be made priority.   undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided

^^ If he had something to show for another year of our existence, it would not be a waste -- celebrating, I mean. The reason people celebrate a birthday is not necessarily to rejoice that they were born, but to rejoice that another year of progress has been recorded.

This is good, he is saving money by doing this. Now he needs to save more money by firing many of the useless politicians who are paid 1 million for doing nothing and stealing money.

Last year when he commtted how many zillions to indepence celebrations people were complaining,

Now he says no celebrations and people are again complaining.

GEJ - dont mind them,

The money saved on these ye-ye celebrations is best diverted to your offshore account to accrue interest before being frozen.

Stash the cash and ignore these fools on NL ,

PS:

- You suspended the national football team,
- You suspended indepencdence day celebrations.
- How about you suspend looting - at least temporarily,
