“Sometimes, The Church is like a Circus”.

The etymology of the word "Church" is commonly believed to be from the Greek phrase "kuriou oikos" (House of the Lord), as stated in the "Dictionary of Phrase and Fable."
However, this assumption is highly unlikely since the word existed in Celtic dialects long before the introduction of Greek.

According to Smith's Dictionary of the Bible (one-volume edition) and Professor A. Fausett in his "Home Bible Study Dictionary,' the word "Church" is derived from an early term meaning "circle," similar to the word "circus." Professor Lipsius, a prominent historian and theologian during the Reformation, conducted a significant study supporting the notion that the word "church" does indeed originate from "circle."

The term "Church" is derived from the word "KIRKE" (Circe).
It is referred to as "Kirk" in Scotland, "Kirche" in German, and "kerk" in the Netherlands.
These words demonstrate a more correct derivation from the Greek Kirke than the English word "church." Even Old English used "Circe" to refer to "church," further revealing its origin.

Robert Brown's work, "The Myth of Kirke," also affirms that "kirke" (church) means "Circle" or "Circular".
The term "church" not only denoted a
"circular" building or monument but also had a significant association with the ancient
Goddess Circe.

Circe was a pagan figure, the daughter of the Sun God, often depicted as a minor goddess of magic, a nymph, witch, enchantress, or sorceress. She was worshipped as "Christos Helios" and gained fame for her ability to tame wild animals in her Circus.
The term "circus" is derived from the Latin word "circus," which is a romanization of the Greek word "kípKos" (kirkos), meaning "circle" or ring."
According to the early Christian writer Tertullian in his book "De Spectaculis," the goddess Circe allegedly organized the first circus games in honor of her father Helios, the Sun God."

In classical accounts, Circe is often depicted holding a golden cup containing a mixture of wine and drugs/pharmacusii (associated with sorcery), which she used to control kings and exert her power.
The Apocryphal Book of Revelation includes references to this Goddess, Circe. She is described as the Great Wh.ore who sits on many waters and seven hills.
In Revelation 17:4, it is written, "And the woman [symbolizing a church/kirke] was arrayed in purple and scarlet color and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication."

Revelation 18:23-24 states, "Because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery (pharmakeia). And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth."

The Greek word translated as "sorcery" in this verse is "pharmakeia," which is the root of our words "Pharmacy" and "pharmaceutical" (DRUGS).

The name “Church" (Circe, the Great Wh.ore) is currently used to refer to almost all Christian assemblies.

Circe was buried on one of the islands of the Pharmakoussai (Pharmacussae) group in the Aegean Sea, within sight of the Isle of Patmos.
It was on Patmos that John received the visions found in the Book of Revelation of the New Testament and where the book was written.
Although Circe is described as an immortal goddess, a "tomb" typically served as a shrine for hero-cult.

While the Greek word translated as
"church" is "ekklesia," meaning "called out ones," it more accurately corresponds to the English words: congregation, assembly, or group.
In Acts 19:32, "ekklesia" refers to a riotous mob. It is never used to describe a building for worship.

When will you come to realize that your beliefs are simply a result of various combinations of ancient Jewish, Greek, Norse, Latin, and other influences?
