You get. Check my thread a whole lot of the scallywags wanted dying when I posted that thread then. I won't be shocked if some are now running to seek asylum in Ireland. What will you tell them that Boko Haram wanted to cut your head in the UK grin grin

it's lack of planning that cause all these foolishness.
the fact of the matter is that a typical Nigerian (black) man is mentally challenged and lazy.
Anything that involves rigour and research and planning properly, his hand no dey.

that's why Nigeria and Africa is failed, and it cascades all the way down to our individual lives.
UK appealed to so many because of the "apparent" ease of processing,
Heck, u can even outsource to an agent through And through

But to do the critical thinking, SWOT analysis and fashioning out action plans. weighing in the pros and cons
that one we outsource to God

cos all these shabby outcomes we are seeing are indicative of lack of planning and good judgement, let's tell ourselves the truth.
Now we are telling people to restrategise or desist in totality from coming for now, they will think we hate them.

In typical naija fashion, some of them are currently doing the runs underground and arranging POF and all that, then in their small mind they will call you when they land and say no be me don enter so....

sha no call anybody when sheet (inevitably) goes south

Please I still need assistance with this
WaleTP:
Good morning Gurus. I'm caught in quite a fix here. I made payment for TLS prime services yesterday morning for Friday. The merchant site for payment stated that the payment was successful and I was debited the said money, but I haven't been sent any email confirming payment for Tls services. Also, my application on my tls portal says I haven't set any appointment, which as a result, makes me unable to upload my documents. Please, I urgently need some advice guys. Thanks in advance.

They are going to ask you why you want to study in the Uk, your chosen course, future career plans, and how you plan to finance your studies.

There is nothing to be worried of if all your documents are genuine, they just wanted to be sure you are a genuine student.

You can check this link for possible interview questions.

it depends on you. But a laptop may be better in terms of stability and putting down points on your screen so you don’t forget anything you want to say.

Guys, ensure you have 50-70% of your tuition ready to be paid before you leave Nigeria if you’re going for Masters in the Uk. No jokes, it’s not funny now.

While for undergraduate, get the complete one year deposit in full before you leave Nigeria. It’s not exaggeration, it’s not funny at all. Don’t get that hope you will pay your balance while working here.

If I knew what I know now, I might have considered other countries for my postgraduate study. The uncertainty surrounding Uk student-PSW/CoS-ILR isn’t a joke.

Ensure you plan very well. A lot of people were misled by their Agents, they got here and became stuck.

Finally, if you can, consider other countries in Europe.

They just trying to check if you are a bona fide student.

Know the course modules, why you choose to study in the chosen program and university, course tuition and living expenses, and your plans after graduation.

Do you think it's easy to pay over 800,000 Naira for rent per month?! This is what ai normally ask people looking to Japan and their reply will always be when they get to that bridge they will cross it.

When they finally get to that bridge they will be looking for who to put the blame on. I guess you can blame it on Akon *pun intended*

People are doing more than one job to survive and one wants to use 20 hours of work to pay the balance of tuition fees and living expenses.

Well, what God can't do doesn't exist. Have Faith no mountain is insurmountable.

You are absolutely correct 💯. Studying at UK is fine for people that have >80 percent of the school fees sorted. Not at hand, but actually paid to the school to avoid those devaluation stories similar to the Teeside students.

Teeside University and other universities is not responsible for the devaluation of naira. They voted and saw what they want! Nigerian always like to shift blame. Teeside university already have Thier budget, plan and forecast for the year.

You are working for 20hrs weekly and you think you can pay the school fees, break even, send money home and get a return on investment while on study visa. It is unrealistic!

The bad thing about working on 20hours p/w is that most of the time it is usually not even complete at the exact 20hrs. (Most people can relate with this) If you claim to have faith or you sabi pray, why the grace no work for you in Naija.

Agents will collect Thier money once off and clear. So if the agents advise people, people need to be realistic

Thanks for your input. But no where in my post was it stated that “I” was misled by a travel agent. I only said what I observed about most people who came through undergraduate study and didn’t do proper research.

I have completed my University, and now on PSW, my post was an advice to those who intend to study in the Uk.

Thanks.

Some of the schools in UK have started verifying document. This is university of reading, they are setting stringent rules now, this is as a result of nigerians in the uk owing tuition fees, owing rents, submitting fake documents for admission and visa process. Sometimes I regret not leaving this country earlier.

Owning rent, owning school fees owning this and that.

Enter make you understand watin ur country men de face for UK. U think it is easy as you think from Nigeria.

Thousands of Nigerians are here without jobs and are struggling to find jobs to meet needs yet no job. Some treek 10 kilometres to school and back with empty stomach because they don't have transport.

Some rely on church every Sunday they visit churches just to get food and stock

If u don't have your full school fees and house rent u will face the same issues then u understand.

On the issue with d fake certificate you shouldn't worry about that as university are supposed to carry checks on it

Planning ahead means you having your full money.
Which is at least 45milion.

If you like plan from here to jericho without having the full money u are still dreaming. Your plan is just like a wish and u know that if wishes were horses lthen beggers will ride .

Most talk in Nigeria... If u are travelling learn an IT skills it's high in demand blabla... When u arrived u go know say khaki no be leather in fact u go sabi say u de dream. Without UK experience u wan get job grin

Most people plan to pay half their school fees in Nigeria then when they get here they with their dependants will search for jobs and pay their fees but getting here dependant only get 20hrs job after 3 months or get a ware house job then after 2 months of working the job stopped. And they stayed for another 3 months to see another job..

People sold lands, houses, even borrowed to land and start cashing out but on getting here it's another ball game

Different story.

I have seen people who spent over 2000 pounds on hotel pending when they seee accommodation.
I have seen people sleep in buses, they buy day ticket they don't see accommodation.
I have seen people sleep in school libraries.
All because they couldn't get accommodation as most houses demand u are working full time and not a student or u get a guarantor.
You apply for a house then they said come and see it in 2:30pm and as u are viewing and coming out, you will met 5 people whose time to view same house is 2:35,2:40,2:45 etc

If you don't have your complete fees and living expenses to sort your bills then any plan you make is as good as not planning

You go see where men de beg money from Nigeria take complete money for rent.... Monthly rent here is 700,000 naira upwards

I said it.

The key thing to note in that screenshot from the University of Reading is 'they have noticed a pattern from THE REGION YOU APPLIED FROM'

So there you have it. Be prepared for a time very soon when more schools will now make you (Nigerians) jump through hoops to even get your application considered, deeper scrutiny on top your application, hoops that other nationalities won't have to jump through, and scrutiny they wouldn't have to face.

Why?

Cos y'all too ridiculously LOUD!

Please my if my First name is Ada and my middle name is Sandra in my other documents, while in my international passport the First name is Sandra and middle name Ada, like swapped, is it going to be a problem during visa application? has anyone had such experience?

No it is not going to be a problem.
If it raises concern do an Affidavit.

it's not just the loudness per se,
it's the apparent bad behaviour

I know Nigerian students who are owing rent anyhow in this country
it's not a good look as it stains us all

Nigerians are really going through hell in UK. This are people doing literally well in Nigeria. Resigned their jobs, sold their lands, cars etc only to come to face hard life to the fullest.

The devaluation of the naira and the rapid decline in the currency was the nail in our coffins as Nigerians

if the devaluation hadn't happened
it won't be this bad

that's one
two
those who had most of their networth in USD
they did not feel the impact as much

three
those with "arrangee" POF
they are getting a raw deal
2021 set were really really lucky
