Even where they are standing is still not safe... These days in Naija, anywhere rain meets you, just chill there for at least 2 hours after the rain has fully stopped!

Every rainy season, the same shit! No improvement in drainage, and no efforts towards flood management and control!

Yet, this is supposed to be a METROPOLIS! Shame!!!

Students Stranded As Flood Takes Over Lagos Communities

Some students were stranded Monday afternoon after a flood took over roads and other areas in the Oko Oba community, Orile Agege Local Council Development Area.

The students seen in their different school uniforms, according to a resident, James Joel, had not been able to return to their various homes as the flood levelled up the bridge in the area.

"They have been stranded for about two hours. They're students of Lagos Baptist Senior Secondary School, Eko Junior Secondary School, and Lagos Baptist Senior College," Joel said.

The Oko Oba community has always experienced floods during heavy downpours.

Bees are essential, they buzz, seems like they drum. But lets not forget the essential function of a bee, and that is to pollinate and it also helps the fertilization that produces fruits and seeds, O if you taste the best honey, hmm, you will not never take sugar again smiley.

This is very important.

Out of the eater comes something to eat. Out of the strong comes something sweet.

There's no part of the world that's immuned to the effect of global warming. You saw how flood sank Trademore Estate in Abuja last month. And You also saw a third of Bayelsa under water last year. So it's no time to say one state is hyped or over hyped.

China, Taiwan, South Korea, Burma are all experiencing greater flooding compare to ours as we speak now.

And even when the Sun rages, many of the developed countries experiences even more catastrophical heat waves in excess of 45deg Celcius.

Guy this is an area I know very well, u see that particular canal way has carried several people and even parked vehicles, about this time a year ago it swept about 4 guys in their car.. if the Lagos state Government don’t arise to the situation of that bridge it will continue taking more life’s. It’s way terrible than what u see in the. Picture.

It's high time lagos state takes this drainage serious.

You cannot serve God (the people) and mammon at the same time.

Lagos state governors, from Tinubu to Fashola to Ambode to Sanwo Olu are all about stealing and looting the IGR raised from the people as well as the federal allocation received on behalf of the people plus the loans borrowed in the name of the people. They are not interested in employing workers to make gutters clean and clear all the time.
