Let's not kid ourselves, the marketers bringing in petrol will not make it cheap any time soon.

They aren't a charity, after all. They are business people. Businesspeople have one rule...make da profit.

When there's competition among marketers the price will definitely go down

Competition could only scale down prices of commodities depending on the prevailing circumstance.

Economics is not agbadonomics.😋
Go back to school and stop fooling around on Nairaland.

Simple. Our sole hope will be when we have many more refineries producing locally. If we are still depending on scarce FX for importation, the price will still be controlled by the elite few who have access to FX easily.

Daft! Tell us about the prices of Kerosene and diesel that has been fully deregulated for years. Many of you are very empty

So BAT's egocentric 2012 Occupy Nigeria protest is justifiable?
If the selfish man had allowed GEJ to remove subsidy back then, our economy would have stabilised by now

It's alarming how many blind supporters of BAT are not sincere to admit that he is a major player in setting our economy backward, now he's playing the god of subsidy removal at the wrongest time.

Our politicians are wicked and selfish

HacheNoire:
The dividends of subsidy removal is guaranteed. It’s just a matter time, and competition will set-in and market prices will start dropping.

It’s was envisaged that present hike in prices will come to play, and will have a duration.

His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) has that road map, and all well meaningful and educated Nigerians, believe his roadmap.

The future is now, and Asiwaju is piloting affairs.

Your views depicts that, you are not a politician.

In politics, every condemnation to tarnish the image of the opponent is valid and its fair play.

It’s not peculiar to Nigeria and plays in every democratic nation across to world. Politicians will always capitalize on events and moments.

It’s not wickedness or evil. It’s the game.

His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) capitalized on the opportunity, which visibly united Nigerians, to launch a full assault on the then government.

In politics, that was a brilliant move!

Reelz:
this is not the first time other companies have been importing fuel into the country.. so it's nothing new. what they have to explain to us is how other countries are buying at far cheaper prices n market forces are not affecting them.
People should stop this propaganda. Mention countries that import petrol and sell to citizens at less $0.9. Nigerians need to realise that we don't produce refined petrol and we import it paying in dollars.
