A Miami woman is facing charges after she allegedly tried to hire a hitman to kill her 3-year-old son.

Jazmin Paez, 18, was arrested on Tuesday after police traced an IP address to her computer. The IP address had been used to submit a murder-for-hire request on a fake website.

The website founder, who created the site to catch people who are looking to hire killers, contacted police after receiving the request. The request included the boy's address and a photo of him.

Police went to the boy's home and spoke to his grandmother, who confirmed that he was the intended victim. The boy was found safe and sound at the residence.

Investigators then posed as the hitman and spoke with Paez, who agreed to pay $3,000 for the murder. Paez was arrested at her home a short time later.

It is not clear what Paez's motive was for trying to kill her son. Police are still investigating.
