Hello guys.. Please how viable is it for a 32yr old person to obtain a visa grant for an undergraduate diploma course(not a pg diploma)..im asking based on the age. Nb: the person has a Bsc but doesn’t want to apply for masters because of the requirements. |

Hello , I will advise you reduce your sop to 2-3 pages, max 4 including lists of docs. The VOs are human beings busy with other application and they have no time to read 29 pages. Plus arrange the docs well too resilience001: |

🚨🚨 Good day house. I'm trying to apply for my visa by December and I have some questions. My school course registration will not be open till March, so I wouldn't be able to pay my fee till then. Hope it doesn't have any implication, if the money just sits in my account. (I don't want them thinking I don't have access to it). Also, will CIBC GIC still serve as a plus, even if I don't have any receipt of fee paid apart from acceptance deposit. PS: my Dad is my sponsor Please I would be grateful to get a reply🙏🏽 |

Beside the VFS office building, there's a DHL office. Go straight there and tell them you want to submit your passport. The DHL guys would give you a consent form to fill. Go along with the passport data page photocopy that was returned back to you when you did your biometrics by VFS. Also go along with your PPR request printout and another photocopy of your passport data page. Transit fee and DHL commission fee cost 20,500. If you want DHL to send the passport to your house after stamping, you'll be paying a return fee of 30,000. That's 50,500. But if you don't want DHL to dispatch your passport to your house, then you pay only 20,500. DHL would give you a tracking information document and would return the second photocopy of your passport data page to you. When you come for pickup, come along with the tracking information document and the photocopy of your passport data page. On this passport data page, write your tracking number on it. When I did mine, I submitted on a Monday and VFS sent me a pickup mail on Thursday. Make sure you get to VFS office before 1PM to submit, because DHL sends out all the passports to Abuja by 3PM. Also when you come for your pickup, come before 4PM. Good luck. Greyworld: |

Is there a reason why the person wants to go for an undergraduate diploma and not PGD? I don't think age is a problem if the person can put out a very good application and has every of requirements. frank2zee: |

Very very viable. I mean who cares when you decide to further your education. As long as it doesn't look like you are scheming. frank2zee: |

Calculate all the money you need for fees and tuition and ensure everything has been sitting in your own account for a while before applying. Even if your father has the money, it doesn't show good faith if the money is not in your own account. As for the GIC, make sure you leave traces of how your father paid for it too. OllyM: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by MarksmanD: 8:33pm On Oct 31, 2024 |
According to what the DHL guys told me, you can't use anyhow DHL. Theirs is the only one that can collect your passport on behalf of VFS. I don't live in Lagos too that was why I asked if I could've used any DHL office and they said no. Greyworld: |

Since it is a University you don't need to pay tuition fees before applying for a Study permit. Doing GIC will be good if you can. More importantly, Canada's new policy for PGWP issuance will take effect from tomorrow 1-Nov-2024, this means the policy will apply to you so please ensure your program is eligible to issue you PGWP after your studies although this depends on your goals.

|

If you are a fresh graduate let your father show his account statements and all relevant supporting documents as to the source of his income. Let him write a letter of sponsorship It works better that way. Good day house. I'm trying to apply for my visa by December and I have some questions. @MarksmanD @JMG12 @Lekiboboe,@Zubizareta, @Bobomaigida I have a question house. Hope it is not a red flag if two siblings are applying to the same college and they're both sponsored by another Sibling, hope this is not a problem? i.e two brothers sponsored by their elder sister applying to the same school. Should there be a time between when they submit their applications and can the other submit after the first is approved? Please advice |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bobomaigida: 10:19am On Nov 01, 2024 |
ide2012: Lol, no red flag, so long as the sponsor has the adequate funds to cover both students and the sponsor can justify how the funds were raised with proofs. 1 Like |

Post: How long does it usually take to receive a final decision from IRCC after biometrics confirmation? It’s been over two weeks since my biometrics were confirmed, but I haven’t heard back yet. Before this, IRCC asked for an additional document – my sister, who is my primary sponsor, needed to upload her bank statement to show her salary deposits matching her paystub. We uploaded it, and a week later, IRCC confirmed they received the updated document. A few days after that, I received a letter saying my biometrics are valid until a certain date, but still no decision. Meanwhile, my school reached out to inform me they’re suspending the course I initially applied for, so I needed to pick another program. I selected an IT course, but since my undergraduate degree isn’t IT-related, the school is asking for a resume showing 3 years of IT experience. I only graduated in 2022, so I don’t have quite that much experience yet. I’m hoping if my visa gets approved, having over 2 years of IT experience by then might be enough for the school to reconsider. This IT course is the only realistic option available for the winter term; most other programs, including healthcare ones, are suspended until fall (September). Now, I’m really confused about what to do next and worried that IRCC might be contacting my school about these recent changes. I was hoping for the visa approval so I could negotiate with the school or explore other options. Someone mentioned that if IRCC requested additional documents, it’s likely a positive sign, as they would have denied it already if it was a no. For context, my tuition is paid in full, and I have a GIC with 21k CAD. My sister owns a home and my school is in the same city, so she is providing me with accommodation as well. This is my third application since my first two were denied as they were poorly handled by my previous visa officer (a story for another day, hopefully when this application is approved!). Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated! |

Duchynwa:A decision. Is made on your application, which seems to be a positive one. Register on the IRCC tracker, you should see a visa and study permit number in there . |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by bullstriker: 5:15pm On Nov 01, 2024 |
In your case, the red flag is your level of education and not your age. It is usually frowned upon when someone is going for a lower education level as it looks more like a program taken just for the sake of migration to Canada. However, you can address it in your SoP; the key is to give a strong enough opinion on why the program is relevant to your career growth. For example, how is the program related to your present occupation? Is the program designed to improve or update you on new market trends, new tech, and industry analysis? Are you getting a promotion that requires knowledge and skills in the proposed program? Like a puzzle, identify the gap and show the VO how the intended program fits perfectly. frank2zee: 1 Like |

Send an email to the school requesting to pay your tuition fee, and attach their reply to your study permit submission highlighting that the school will not accept payment until March. You don’t have to do GIC, but it shows commitment Using an ideal sponsor (father) is a plus, so focus on other aspects of finance, such as demonstrating reliable sources of his funds and ensuring no unexplainable lump sums. Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by jayciekey: 7:59pm On Nov 01, 2024 |
Hi guys, please I need your input on this. I am an international student in Canada currently taking a diploma course in a college. I started my studies this September 2024. I left Nigeria in August 2024. I want to apply for visit visa for my wife and daughter to be able to visit me while I am pursuing my studies. The intention is for them to visit me. A little background: My wife had applied for visit visa in April 2024. The purpose of travel was tourism. In that visa application we didnt mention anything about my studies because I was still in Nigeria even though I had gotten my study visa. The visit visa was denied last month, October 2024. We requested GCMS note and that rejection was because the visa officer wasn't convince she has enough economies ties back home. it says the visa officer wasnt convince that she's financially and economically established in her home country. We applied with 8m in her account and her employment letter as she earns 400k monthly. Also to note that we gave birth to our daughter in September 2024 after I had left Nigeria. I left in August 2024. Now I want to reapply for her and my child on the grounds that I haven't seen my child since she was born. So this time we are applying on the grounds that they want to visit me. So this time I am inviting them to come visit me and we are applying with over 26m (14m in my own account and 12m in hers). I am thinking of adding everything I used as my home and economic ties to Nigeria in my study visa application into their visit visa application. So my questions are: - What are the documents I'll need? - Can I apply from my own account or we apply from my wife's account? Or that doesnt matter? - Do we need to do Health insurance for both of them (my wife and child)? - Do we need Police report? - For the invitation letter, do I just write the letter myself? Or is there anything I need to do to give the invitation letter more weight? Basically, I am seeking advise generally on how best to put in this application this time. Thanks |

Hello, please advice on what i can do in this kind of situation. My sister input wrong answers to the security question and her IRCC portal account was locked and we have been trying all possible means to sort it out all to no avail. Thanks in antipation. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by techgen(m): 10:31pm On Nov 01, 2024 |
It will be difficult to unlock it. Possible Solution: You can just create new GC key and link your profile by giving some information and you will be good to go. Note: Once you link the application to a new account, it will be de-linked from the old account. Good luck 👍 Samade7: |
