I decided to view the statement of the Lagos State Government regarding the mass burial of 103 unnamed victims.

According to the government's statement, 103 unidentified victims were picked up on the aftermath of #EndSars protests, community clashes, and jailbreak in Lagos state. The public was invited to identify the victims, but NOBODY came forward. Take note of the fact that NOBODY came forward because it's important to this investigative view.

For the record, the 3 events that may have resulted in the 103 casualties according to the statement are listed below:

1. #EndSars protests
2. Community clashes at Fagba, Ketu, Ikorodu, Orile, Ajegunle, Abule-Egba, Ikeja, Ojota, Ekoro, Ogba, Isolo and Ajah areas of Lagos State
3. Jailbreak at Ikoyi Prison

Let's examine this statement from the government from an investigative perspective.

The first question that comes to mind is, which of these 3 incidents was likely to result in unidentified bodies? Let's examine each incident

#EndSars Protests
#EndSars protests was one event where there was a possibility of many unidentified bodies. Eyewitness accounts already claimed that many people were shot, which was corroborated by an international media report by CNN.

Community Clash
The community clashes mentioned are also one of the events that could result in many unidentified bodies. Many of these have occurred in many communities in Nigeria recently including Kaduna, Plateau states.

Jailbreak at Ikoyi Prison
This event needs to be eliminated from this possibility because people in jail usually have names. Also, if many people who escaped jail end up being shot dead, they will likely be identified because the police will be actively looking for them. Their names are usually widely publicized on the media. We should eliminate the possibility of the jailbreak resulting in multiple unidentified bodies.

So we narrow these incidents down to #EndSars and Community clashes.

The second and final question that comes to mind is, which of these 2 remaining events was likely to result in many unidentified bodies even after the government's invitation to the public to come forward and identify their family members? This part is very important because the government mentioned that NOBODY, not even a single person, came forward to identify their family members.

Lets examine each of the 2 remaining incidents.

#EndSars
We all know that the government criminalized this event and many people who participated went into hiding, e.g. DJ Switch. There were reports of arrests of anyone who was possibly connected to the protests. This fits as an incident where the public will be scared to go and identify the victims. Furthermore, the authorities said that everyone who participated in the event had a question to answer, and they also denied that multiple persons were murdered, so this was a likely event.

Community Clashes
The thing that stands out here for me is that nobody came forward to identify their family members despite invitation from government. This doesn't even fit as a likely incident. Residents of communities who are victims are usually identified. In fact, it's unlikely that the government will randomly pick up 103 victims from a community clash without community members, family members, and friends crying and mourning beside the victims. If there were 103 unidentified victims from a community clash, then there are possibly more hundreds of identified victims, which means we're possibly dealing with one of the bloodiest community clashes of all time in Nigeria. Was that the case?

You can draw your own conclusions. I am simply trying to make sense of the leaked report vs government's statement.

People were killed at Lekki toll gate. Even Sanwo-Olu confirmed same that fateful night before changing mouth on receiving further instructions.
Every evidence and investigation leads to that same conclusion.

Whether #EndSARS killings or not, this ugly and gory scenario have demonstrated how much the government have woefully failed the downtrodden & oppressed citizens with extrajudicial bloodsheds and killings going on unabated.

The live of an average citizen does not count while government officials living @ their expense goes about with armed-to-the-teeth retinue of multi-agency security agents. Meanwhile what is the motive of the govt for trying to do a secret burial for victims of a govt ocastrated brutality? What a country.

It's just very sad and deplorable how lives mean so little in Nigeria
