https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dh7o99qdLgk Imagine that in 2009, a court in Asaba, Nigeria, dismissed 170 charges of corruption againt Ibori the former governor of Delta State, saying there was no clear evidence to convict. The same Ibori would accept laundering £23million in UK for which he was jailed for 4 years. The judge then said the man stole upto 200 million, that is over 200 billion naira in today's equivalent. He has been told to return 100 million, over 100 billion naira or go to jail again for 8 years. We wait to see what will happen in the end. |
