The newly elected governor of Abia State sacked 2,300 ghost workers .

For those that may feel that this is a media jamboree . Let me tell you this . My father is a traditional ruler in Abia. Last week Alex Otti asked all the traditional rulers to come with their original state government issued certificate to Umuahia ( The state capital) You no why ? Because some traditional rulers has died many years ago, but the state government is still crediting their account monthly.

Ghost workers are the most deadly killers of any economy. They exit in every state in Nigeria. A graduate is looking for a job meanwhile secondary school boys and girls are getting paid, because their relation who is connected in government enrolled them into the system.

If you are in Nigeria and you don't know that this things exist, then you obviously don't know this country too well. Secondary school boys and girls are receiving salaries ( while in school). Meanwhile graduate are begging for work.

Let's appreciate Dr Alex Otti for this move and pray he continue to do more .
