Tiwa Savage is without a doubt, the hottest female to ever touch a mic in the Nigerian music industry. Her talents are undeniable, and she proved this with her 2013 debut album “Once Upon A Time”.

Interestingly, Tiwa has been churning out singles from the album years before its release. One of such being 2010’s “Kele Kele Love”, which officially introduced us to her smooth, melodious vocals, and formidable song-writing skills.

She became an instant hit with the ladies (and with the men for obvious reasons), and she made sure her fire kept burning with the release of another single titled “Love Me (X3)”.

This single not only proved to us that Tiwa wasn’t a one hit wonder, it also gave us a good idea of what to expect from the album.

Speaking of which, the album itself was supported by other powerhouse singles such as “Eminado” and “Without My Heart”. It was collaboratively released by Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, and Tee Billz’ 323 Entertainment.

It also featured notable guest appearances which includes Don jazzy himself, Flavour, Sarkodie, Iceberg Slim, and General Pype. As for production, Tiwa recruited the talents of Warren Oak Felder, GospelOnDeBeatz, Spellz, Del B, Harmony Samuels, Sauce Wilson, Raydar Ellis, and of course, Don Jazzy to make her first official body of work sound as good as it could possibly be.

The album was so good, that it was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and for Best R&B/Pop Album at The Headies 2014.

Tiwa Savage has certainly come a long way since she released “Once Upon A Time”, but this is one throwback record definitely worth checking out!
