NO SIASIA should NOT BE SACKED. SIASIA is a good coach, he PROVED it at U-20 AND at the olympics. If OSAZE had A good chance and failed to score , what can the coach do? If EMENIKE HAD only keeper TO beat but failed TO score, what CAN THE COACH do? SIASIA should BE ALLOWED TO LEARN FROM HIS MISTAKES. If NOT PLAYING ENYEAMA WAS A MISTAKE, let SIASIA LEARN FOR THE FUTURE |
Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by kulutempa: 2:29pm On Oct 09, 2011 |
I think Sia Sia should stay. He has achieved more for Nigerian football in his time as the coach of the junior national team than any other indigenous coach which means he has the right qualities. He obviously needs more experience at the top level but that will come with time. The reason why I prefer him is that he is the first Nigerian coach who has tried to instil discipline into the team and that can only augur well for the future. The difference between us and Guinea yesterday, was that we did not convert our numerous chances, whereas they grabbed the couple of chances that fell to them. Another key difference was that they maintained their shape and did not lose their heads even when they fell behind whereas our players were all over the place and got too excited and lost concentration after they scored the second goal. Discipline counted yesterday and you could see it in the way the Guineanians marshalled their defence and stuck to their game plan particularly in the first half, when we had numerous scoring opportunities. The only mistake Sia Sia made yesterday was in not taking off Odemwinge and Obasi in the first half. Those guys were just fooling around on the pitch and showed no commitment. |

Most people are talking as if enyema is d best goalkeeper in d world and he is above discipline.those 2 goals could b conceeded by any gkeeper.first time we av a local coach who have d balls to discipline a foreignbased player, we are calling for his head.it was a draw for God sake nt a defeat now.no one is even talking abt d hot scorching sun of abuja under which dey played.why did dey play at 2pm nt d usual 4pm. |

SACK! bomega4u: You are definitely a rétard beyond reasonable doubt! I find it difficult to believe that you have a human sized brain that actually functions normally. Comparing Vincent Eyeama to that ape that manned the post yesterday is like comparing Einstein to you. One is renowned Genius the other a compound buffoon! BTW a primary school goalie would have saved at least the second goal and maybe parried the first rather than fall on the floor EVERY TIME like some cheap h0oker! |

Siasia should be sacked ASAP. Afterall, we sacked the coach (Amodu Shuaibu) that qualified us for last world cup. |
Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by velo10: 3:19pm On Oct 09, 2011 |
Siasia became the Nigerian coach with his demands of a big monthly salarly. He made himself sound like a local superstar and created a lot of controversies. Right now, I don't give a damn abut him. I see him as the cause Nigeria is not going to be competing in major competition s until 2014. He should face the music. He should be sacked. Better coaches out there than those who deal on petty issues with their players. |

Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by belelikfin(m): 3:36pm On Oct 09, 2011 |
We should stop thinking of sacking coaches each time we lost, changing of coaches frequently will never allow us build a good team as changing them when ever they lost a game will ever be the other of the day. So Siasia should be allow to continue. |

Siasia should be sacked ASAP. The guy is a waste of space. Amodu did much better. He obviously has failed to recognise he is very incapable as well. Big ego but no coaching skill. He has no leadership skills or communication skills either. It also looks as if the team as a whole were demoralised by his approach. Our players are demoralised by this guy and will never play well under him. Please sack Siasia!!!!!!!! Please sack him immediately to allow Nigeria to focus on the next World Cup. Otherwise there will be more failure. Nigeria needs to start building a new team with a NEW COACH. Personally I would go for Stephen Keshi (see what he did with the Togo team) or Sunday Olisheh. Is this a joke? Is his sack up 4 a debate? Anyway, this is all GEJ's fault. If only he had sustained the ban, Nig. Would not have witness this unprecedented-avoidable disgrace. UP NIGERIA! |

The players are all useless, the team should be disbanded and a new set of players called on preferably home based, those stupid professionals are CHICKENS they ain't supposed to be called EAGLE at all. |

He should be sacked because 1.he cant read a dicey game, 2.mikel is defensive midfielder in Chelsea, why is he converting him to play full midfielder 3.Mikel is slowing the attacking force,he need to be benched or allow to play defensive midfield only 4.why is he using obassi to start to a crucial match like this when ik, ideye and musa are there 5.finally,siasia is favoring some known players 6.Nigeria prestige is at stake |

Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by onatisi(m): 4:36pm On Oct 09, 2011 |
i think siasia has learn t his lessons matches are not won at the press room i live in Ghana and i was sick of the way he was boasting the he will beat Guinean silly with 3 goals that doesn't show a coach that has experience always respect the opposing team even Ferguson will not be boasting like that if his team is even to meet a secondary school team he must now know that the Ghana match is a must win for him and that Nigerians can change withing a split second |
Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by TrueSeeker(m): 4:40pm On Oct 09, 2011 |
I know from onset that Siasia was not the right man for the job. He failed with u-20 in Egypt, he failed with Bayelsa Utd. But NFF went ahead and appoint this mr failure who call himself disciplinarian, Infact Amodu is better than him |

Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by vislabraye(m): 5:53pm On Oct 09, 2011 |
Siasia happens toto be the most favoured indigenious coach that has handled the senior national team. But he has failed to leave up to expectation. At least if he had qualified, I'm certain the team would have done well in the tournament. I think he has to admit his failure and take some blame for the defeat. Secondly, I dont understand what went on between him and Enyeama cos Enyeama has never had any problem with indiscipline. I am still disappointed with the result of the match. |

Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by Nobody: 6:41pm On Oct 09, 2011 |
For all the folks blaming yesterday's result on Enyeama's absence, try being rational. He hasn't played a single competitive game for his new club. What guarantee is there that he could have done better than Aiyenugba(who had a really sickening game and shouldn't come near a Nigerian National side anytime in the future)? Besides,I never really rated Enyeama as a top goalie,at least in line with national team goalies. He's the best we've got for now,but I think he's over-rated because of one great game vs Argentina in South Africa. Eagles crashed out for a myriad of reasons ranging from Siasia's technical fragility to poor play from the Eagles to general indisciPline/lack of commitment from these over-rated players (including Osaze who attacks his coach on twitter like he can do same to Roy Hodgson) to general ineptitude from the FA (planning a friendly with Argentina and jetting to Ethiopia for a qualifier on the day of the game, going to Guinea without a substantive coach). . Sort those out and we might be heading in the righ direction again |

What a pity, even if we had played with 10 Messi we still would nt av won, d only blame i could av blame siasia for was not including our no1 goal keeper, d only person that Nigerian should b asking for his head is Jonathan Badluck (GEJ) nothing good has happen do Nigeria since he came to power, only God knows where he got that name from, i still bliv Siasia is right man for the job, he just needs to be alittle bit flexible with his so call principle regarding players |
Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by macroworld: 7:31pm On Oct 09, 2011 |
Even before this match, I wanted to make a comment about Siasia about him being unnecessarily rigid. There is a fine line between instilling discipline in a team and been unnecessarily rigid and difficult with the players you are meant to coach. It is true that the Nigerian National team needs some more discipline based on the last world cup etc etc, but it should be done with balance and maturity and in my opinion, this is what is lacking. I don't think that he should be sacked for now, but he needs to review his actions. I am seeing him been unnecessarily rigid about his decisions, I saw this development coming. He should review his decisions about not calling some players to camp etc based on personal/ individual/ ego rationale. Football as a game in dynamic. A player who is out of form for a season may be in good form and shape for the next season. He should have a strategy and know what he wants out of positions/ players and fill the roles with the right skills- set as against his approach to selecting a national team. Yes, I still respect the place of discipline in a team, but should be balanced with the requirements of competitions as they emerge. This is my opinion. |

Dis enyama of a thing is too much,if enyama is in the pitch will he score or do the assisting or passing and also attacking.Super eagles can't even run or play nice pass,4 me those old weak men needed to be banned 4 life and start with new young boy not everytime sacking coach but still it gets worst even bring mourihno or ferguson to the present super eagles not will be done |
