4.1 Omnichannel Marketing
Omnichannel marketing refers to the integration of different online and offline touchpoints (e.g., messaging, email, chat, ads etc) used in organizations to create consistent brand experience as consumers progress through the sales funnel (Chattaraman et al, 2014).

The strategic goal of omnichannel marketing is to help consumers find and purchase products online and in physical stores—with an option to buy online and pick up in-store. Organizations in different industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, technology, retail etc) are leveraging omnichannel strategies to achieve competitiveness and increase sales (Tsiotsou, 2016; Bustamante & Rubio, 2017).

4.2 Role of Interaction and Customisation in Omnichannel Marketing

#1. Delivering consistent and seamless personalization experience
Employees get clear knowledge of customers, including their traits, activities, and actions, thereby giving the company a competitive edge to provide customized services according to individual contexts.

#2. Enhancing customers’ lifetime value
E-commerce brands thrive on a number of loyal customers. Therefore, an omnichannel personalization, a unified communication strategy and overall positive CX are necessary to convert first-time buyers into lifetime customers.
