This will be far better than having ministers of states and doing away with many other moribund ministers.

How is it better
Don't you have governors and commissioners
You truly get the leaders you deserve

Very very wonderful idea honestly it makes total sense

But they won't because it would expose nepotism

Some regions would get bigger budget than others and it would be too obvious

grin

When will you ever learn to think straight?
Are you under 12? If so, your missteps may be forgiven if not, you need to check yourself.

Do you mean the infrastructure budget for instance (roads) will be the same across all regions - a flat allocation of say 50b a year when each of these places have their own peculirities? Health? Education? Transport

An awesome idea from the OP but you just have to show yourself.

I believe the real motive is to address issues from a common place - most regions share almost same peculiarities an factors, so it will be easier to derive solutions than the current system where we are dumping solutions that worked in say coastal Akwa-Ibom on sahel Sokoto and expecting results.

Remove the tribal cap FGS.

The govt is overbloated already besides Tinubu has 2 months to vacate that seat
AuschwitzPrefec:
By Regional ministers, I am implying that ministries like Works , Education and Agriculture to have 6 ministers each representing each zone.

For example, there should be a Minister for Works for the SW, SS, SE, NE, NW , NC.

Same should apply for Education, Agriculture, Transportation and Health.

Other non viable ministries must be abolished and this new ministerial portfolios will fill the vacuum.
