I drive C-Class Benz and I can attest; it’s a strong machine and I hardly buy parts. However, it is known for more electrical faults than mechanical. I patronize car electricians (rewire) more and occasionally check mecho.

On the same vein, I've heard of some car brands like Toyota/Honda having less electrical but more mechanical faults of major components such as engine or gear. So, which do you think is worse and more financial drain per your experience?
mechanical fault no be fault.electrical fault can make u sell ur car.and the fault may be one thg that 500naira can fix but u won’t know.

Based on experience, mechanical fault is better and could be easily diagonise or repair, but you see electrical fault, that one na confirm headache,God punish you when you visit inexperienced electrician you might end up burning your car like my friend lost his ford to fire outbreak due to electrical complications

mechanical fault is frustrating
but electrical fault is way dangerous because quack electricians, the whole vehicle can get burnt .

so towing motor and burning motor which do u tink is more expensive

It depends. Nature of the faults will determine the worst.

Electrical problem is worse! Mechanical faults can even be fixed by doctors, lawyers or even artists. But, you need to be an Electrician to fix electrical problem.

Electrical faults are more frustrating than mechanic faults in cars....

Worst case with a mechanical fault is to replace the entire component, be it gear, engine or whatever.. Some cars makes like Peugeot and Mercedes are more susceptible to these logic defying electrical issues, especially as they get older

But some Electrical faults will make you envy those trekking... A 'simple' parasitic drain of a car battery when parked overnight have led many into a bottom-less pit of expenses..

And the worst thing is that most naija car electricians will creat another or even multiple electrical faults while trying to solve one... Those guys are very good at bonanzas.. Solve one problem and get three for free grin

exactly what am going Tru now with my corolla
Re: Electrical Vs Mechanical Faults: Which Is Worse? by BlackyOne: 3:48pm On Aug 02, 2023
Electrical fault is worse, this is largely due to unskilled hands, most car mechanic are only specialized in mechanical works and refuse to upgrade their skills, making it very difficult and almost impossible to fix modern cars due to its heavy dependence on electrical and electronics technology.

Most of the problems stem from electricians who don't have the requisite tools for diagnosis. They resort to bypass connections to fix problems and end up messing the whole car up.
