Hopeless Senate.

The current senate will make the rubber-stamp Lawal-led senate seem like the US senate, just as the BAT-led FG makes Buhari's administration seem like Obama's.

What a bunch of useless humans.

Shame on Akpabio and the his colleague Legislooters.
you must be a brilliant guy to quickly figure this out in this early days

You are the fool here. Oya recite the Anthem and recite the Pledge and send it here?

Who cares about anthem all we want is better hands to do good job and not Davido, Burna boy, Timaya etc minister who is busy with national anthem like a musician with nothing to offer.

That was how your obi was given stupid data and calculation with idiotic statistic that he couldn't used when he was a governor than building Ipob brewery with state fund and still owned the brewery himself.
You enter an organization and tell them "who cares about their missions and visions?. And another zombie here thinks anthem is song because the wordings were enshrined into tunes.

Oya swerve while I still keep waiting for any apc supporter who is not stupid

Good one from Akpabio and Opeyemi Bamidele for shutting down the idiotic and irrelevant question asked by the PDP Senator.

Nigerians want them to ask the nominees critical questions bothering on their capacity to serve and the ideas they are bringing to the Federal executive council and not to be singing an anthem that will be played publicly anytime there is a need for it.
You expect the Senators to ask them "critical questions" when their portfolios are unknown. If they choose to ask him those critical questions as you suggest, Akpabio and the other Tinubu lapdogs would ask him to take a bow rather than face being embarrassed.

These set of senators are just unserious bunch !!!!

What's the relevance of reciting national anthem to our present serious economic predicament.

The last set of national assembly duped
'rubber stamp' might be 'excellent' when compared with this one.

Am not vying for a political position am I? Your political god nominated people to serve a country they can't recite her anthem. And zombies will always jump into the defense. And most of these zombies are bigots with empty brains

Still waiting to see any apc supporter who is not foolish.

So a person seeking to serve the country doesn't know the anthem. They think the anthem is just a song. Because they are too stupid to realize that an anthem represents the core beliefs of a country

Can you recite the first stanza of our National Anthem offhand without missing the wordings, not to talk of the second stanza?

It is always easy to critize when you are not facing the same situation.

I believe the remaining nominees who have not been screened by the Senate will be currently reciting the National Anthem in their individual private cubicle in order to avert the embarrassment awaiting them whenever it's their turn for the ministerial screening.
Re: Dele Alake Asked To Recite The National Anthem By Senator Simon Mwadkwon by MANNABBQGRILLS: 4:20pm On Aug 02, 2023
The Minority leader also asked Alake why he made the following statements in April this year:

"Anyone who has dared express any view critical of or opposed to that of Mr. Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, is immediately set upon by the unwieldy column of wild dogs who have labelled themselves ’Obidients’ and constitute a lawless mob baying for blood on social media!"

More like wild pigs and terrorists

Nominees in previous times have been asked to recite the second stanza of the national anthem, with some succeeding effortlessly and some floundering. The point is, if it’s a reoccurring question, then nominees for an appointment as important as the post of a minister of the federal republic are expected to be prepared for it! If you can’t be bothered to prepare for an interview, any interviewer knows you won’t bother yourself to do a half decent job if employed. No one interviewed so far has inspired public confidence in this administration. It’s just the same ol’ list of loudest voices, rewarded to inspire the next set of minions. cool

So when people go before American Congress, they are asked to sing their National Anthem.

Is that what matters?

Is it national anthem that will determine his competence?

Of all the questions in the World... all the questions around Nigeria's problems, is it National anthem that will save us.

So what if he can recite it?
That makes him qualifed?

...and if he stumbles over some words, that makes his a poor candidate.

Una never know wetin dey worry una.

Why are they gathered there if not to properly screen the nominees? This country is not moving in the right direction however you want to look at it.😢

Telling them to bow and go
Or
Telling them to recite the National Anthem?
