DrAkpamudehe:Nna men... u can imagine the guy scope of synchronisation. No one cares about chile mucho gracias in here with there ๐ค ๐ข cowboy horse culture. He should just get a life honestly. You can imagine someone that have lived in western countries in the past can't communicate with white girls because he's scared of accusations against what? I thought its freedom of expression in western countries. ๐ค OP, I'm not sure you are a serious person 2 Likes |

oluyemi123: I'm enjoying this thread and wish to travel to Chile. But honestly we should stop scaring people with this learing Spanish language of a thing, It doesn't work and can never work. I have not been to Europe or America but have been to alot Central/West African countries and China respectively. My brothers you can never learn any language without begin interactive with the language. How can you say you learn Spanish in Nigeria, when you are not engaging anyone in Spanish language? I speak French as second language, when I first visited cameroon in 2011, I know nothing about French, I can't even interact with the immigration police. But entered and did what brought me there and left. Language is never a barrier in travel, I have alot of friends who studied in Europe with German, French and other languages. They never learned before travelling, even if they did learn they will tell you it's a total west of time. I have few friends who works in Japan currently they never learn Japanese before travelling to Japan and they started working less than 2months after their arrival. Now they can speak Japanese to some extent and that's how language learning works. Unless you are travelling to the country as a skilled Immigrants that's when you have to put the language skills to check. Do you think if the Spanish language is a major criteria, Can you get a study visa to Spanish speaking countries without proving your Spanish language proficiency? The diplomats are not daft. We have Nigerians studying and working in Spain etc. Our English counterparts countries requires us to prove our English proficiency for student visa not as a Major criteria but as a system of scrutiny and Immigration control. Because they already know that an average Nigerian speaks and understand English. If they can admit you into a Spanish program and issue study without asking you to demonstrate your use of Spanish language, then why pressuring yourself learning Spanish in Nigeria? How good are you with English you use in your day to day activities here in Nigeria not to talk of Spanish you engage with no one. In worse cases you can easily engage people with Google translator and play the translation to their hearing, on reply the translator picks their voice and interpret for you to read. If you engage with people on a regular bases, you can the be able to speak the language at intermediate level within 2months. 2 Likes |

[quote author=emmyfx post=126709857] I'm enjoying this thread and wish to travel to Chile. I have not been to Europe or America but have been to alot Central/West African countries and China respectively. My brothers you can never learn any language without begin interactive with the language. How can you say you learn Spanish in Nigeria, when you are not engaging anyone in Spanish language? You can learn if you put your mind and effort into learning. When you start interacting with native speakers it might be a little fast but you will easily adapt than someone without any knowledge of the language from home. Do you think if the Spanish language is a major criteria, Can you get a study visa to Spanish speaking countries without proving your Spanish language proficiency? The diplomats are not daft. Go through the thread again,I think he wrote or did an interview which proof his proficiency in Spanish Language. People do learn Portuguese in Lagos and Ife to write CELPE- BRAS for admission into schools in Brazil so people can actually learn any Language from home and I've also seen people that learn through movies and Duolingo. 1 Like |

@ tensazangetsu20, I have heard stories here and there about the poor plumbing/sewerage system in South American countries. Are you able to shed more light on this? |
Re: Memoirs From Chile by tensazangetsu20(m): 10:15am On Nov 03, 2023 |
Farfalla: Not Chile. Everything here is standardized. Chile Is the only country in south America with drinkable tap water. Uruguay used to have but it turned bad a few months back due to draught. |
