No they are not. But they work the longest hours than other employees of the FG. They use and work with far more equipment than other FG employees. Yet, they are the most overworked FG employees because they are few compared to the population they are meant to treat.

How well can you function at your job if you're given faulty equipment or none at all. How well can you perform your duties if your colleagues in the same department leave and new staff aren't hired, leaving you alone to play the role of 3-4 people?

Now, reflect on those questions and understand the plight of the doctors. Their demands are far more than just money-related. Yet, the government keeps playing them like dice.

Apt n understandable bt we need to employ other means of negotiations that won't warrant using the poor masses as a cannon fodder all the time.

Who no get sense go collect sense by Force and Greed is being checked gradually.

See as ASUU just quiet no fit do Gragra again.
It is sure they will never embark on strike in 4yrs cos the No work No pay thing don teach them lesson small.

Over 80 percent of Nigerian citizens can't afford private care... Infact, many of them can't even afford government hospitals as it stands.

Privatizing the entire health sector is simply removing basic healthcare from the reach of most citizens of the nation... The mortality rate will be historic.

Corruption has brought your nation to this point. Targeting the masses for hardship to pay for the sins of political leaders will be the last straw that will send this nation into Anarchy.

At this point, hard decisions must be made by elected leaders... They must shelve all current and future plans to steal and loot. All expenses must be strictly for the elevation of the masses.

Corruption has to be tackled and cuffed in every sector... The nation must start exporting and producing for itself. Money must be saved and put into good use for the masses...!

Anything short of this, then Nnamdi Kanu's prophecy about the massive break up of this nation will be inevitable.

What is the need of this no work no pay policy government is enforcing against striking Union when they will still pay the striking Union the money afterwards? The no work no pay policy the immediate past government enforced against ASUU, wasn't it part of NLC demands from federal government?

It's a good policy. Strike as long as you want to get what you want but don't expect to get paid for the months you were not at work

How is that harsh? No one is sacking you or sending you to prison for exercising your right to strike

But it is wrong to expect salary for work not done

Simple

40 newly employed doctors in OAUTHC have been working for 8months without them getting enrolled in the IPPIS till date, nor do they know when they'll ever be enrolled.

Imagine working for a FG not Kogi state oh, for the past 8months, without getting paid a dime, and not even knowing of you're working for free or not.

Those people are a part of what we're also fighting for, cos an injury to one, is an injury to all.

Do you think those guys would be bothered with the "no work no pay" policy.

Make una continue dey jonse unasefs, docs have private practice they can run to for food. They'll bill Nigerians and the government hospital y'all supposed to get quality free treatment would no longer be staffed by the resident doctors.

Even if they employ new residents, the consultants would have their work cut out for them in retraining new doctors, as opposed to those in the system before- more like performing experiments with people's lives.

You'll pay through your noses in private hospitals, and once our money complete we'll Japa and leave the country for una

Let them sack us please.

Does the Hospital have a CMD?
Does the Hospital has a Director of Works?
Is there a department incharge of the Loft maintenance?

If the Doctors are overworked and underpaid, they should please resign ASAP and let Us know we don't have Doctors. But going on strike and expecting pay is a no-no.

Doctors collect 100k for Uniform allowance but Nurses get 20k but Doctors have never think of speaking for others professionals in their industry not to talk of Public school Teachers who earn meager salaries.

Truth is that u know absolutely nothing. It is dangerous when u speak as if u know buh ur brain is filled with concrete and saw dust. For ur information mugu, Drs no dey get uniform allowances na Nurses dey get. The little the health sector got even the recent 25% for all health workers was all becos of Drs mugu. Hazard allowance upgrade, same Drs. Stop saying what u don't know.
