The Story Of The Man Traveling With His Son And Donkey by Perfectbeing(m): 11:30am On Aug 09, 2023
Once upon a time, there was a man who decided to travel from his village to the nearby town with his son, accompanied by their donkey.

As they started their journey, they came across a group of villagers. One of them chuckled and said, "Look at those fools! They have a perfectly good horse, but both the man and the boy are walking. What a waste!" The man overheard the comment and felt embarrassed. He did not want to be seen as wasting a resource, so he decided to take the advice and carried his son on the horse while he walked alongside.

As they continued on their journey, they reached another village. This time, the villagers, especially the men, expressed their disapproval, saying, "What kind of son ride a horse while his old father walks? That's so unfair!" The man felt guilty hearing this and decided to switch positions. He thought it would be better if he rode the horse, ensuring his son would not be unfairly treated.

As they approached the next town, they encountered a group of passersby who criticized them, saying, "That lazy father is riding the horse while his young son walks. How selfish!" The man and his son heard these remarks and felt ashamed. They didn't want to hurt anyone's sentiments, so they thought of a different approach.

As they entered the town, they noticed some travelers also criticizing the way they were traveling. The townspeople commented, "Look at them! They both carried their heavy weight on their poor horse. How wicked they are, ensuring their horse is overburdened!"

The man and his son realized that no matter what they did, there would always be critics. So, they decided to follow their own judgment and not worry about pleasing others.

Nigerians, especially the Obidients complained that chances and opportunities are not being given to the youths in politics and Governance.

Tinubu listened to them and appointed a young beautiful girl as a member in the Presidential tax and fiscal reform committee and yet they complain that she has no experience. These were the same people that tried to sell GRV, someone without any experience whatsoever in managing anything. How only experience is graduating from MIT. He can't even present a building plan of village hut that he has clrawn as an architect. Yet the Obidients want him to manage the 5th largest economy in Africa.

If Tinubu had appointed a 70 years old professor of economics, these same Obidients would have said PBAT isn't given the youths a chance..

The moral of the story is that we should not allow the judgments and opinions of others to dictate our actions. No matter what we do, there will always be critics. Therefore, it is best to make decisions based on what feels right and be true to ourselves.

If he had appointed a 70 years old professor Obidients will still complain.
