Thanks for this, another section of the constitution says he can't go to war without both the Senate and The House of Reps authorising it plus he can only extend his tenure for 6 months even if Nigeria is at war.

I believe the Senate has already passed a bill against the "war" already so President Tinubu cannot activate that subsection in any case.

I guess that is why he is going to deploy the troops under the auspices of ECOMOG which we should remember is a peacekeeping force.
