My take: If every region start parading their nest students, for now the north ll take last. Not to castigate them but to tell a reality of their region. And I know a region that can parade thousands of A1 parallel in WAEC and over 300s scores in JAMB.
For now, it's still hard for a 13 years old girl to advance to JSS2, JSS3 or SS1 than to get married which ll likely make her education stopped, in pause mode or in uncertainty.

I'm born and breed up north and I wouldn't fault your assertion, during my service year (I cried when I saw the seat of the Caliphate on the call up letter) I had to use the Hausa language during ICT classes, like that wasn't enough, the O'Level examination was more of a classroom affair with teachers and Corp members writing out the answers on board.

Five years after most of the students are now NCE, diploma and degree holders but only an handful of them that could string a proper sentences in English.

These are children their father and mother probably went out for soul winning outreach of God's kingdom and not to occultic gathering to initiate people, calling people "short man devil".

This young lady also had 9 A1s, and it is reported here as-- she had the best result in thr country and is on course to getting a merit award for this.

What you said take 40%, the remaining 60% has to do with the brain and intelligence of a which, again , is determined by gene of mother and father ( whom may not have chances to go to school like their child, but they have brain and intelligence), inherited by the child , as well as learning facilities and learning environment.
