Save Naira from crash? At ₦1175 to £1? If the Naira hasn't crashed, what do you call it? These people are mad and should be in psychiatry wards. |

President Tinubu and CBN Governor, Please Leave Diasporans' Remittances Alone!!!! I suspect President Tinubu in connivance with the CBN Governor may want to force Diasporans’ remittances to be received in Naira. This is a wicked idea. Buhari administration mandated remittances to be received in Naira in the early stage of its first term, but the administration later reversed the decision. Diasporans worked hard for their money that they send to their family members or friends in Nigeria. Diasporans are not responsible for the free fall of the Naira. Rich Nigerians and their family members, whether through legal or illegal means are the people that take the hard-earned Dollars and other foreign currencies in Nigeria to buy multiple million dollars properties abroad. They are the ones that stash the funds in multiple foreign accounts. If you blame Nigerians that they import too much stuff, why can’t the Federal government ensures 24 hour electricity supply, good roads, and good infrastructures. This will enable Nigeria to produce some of the stuffs it imports. President Tinubu, and CBN Governor, please leave Diasporans’ remittances alone!!!!!!!. |

ganisucks:Revoke all the licenses of all bureau de change operators and declear such activity as illegal. Also, ban all forms of forex trading. Take control of forex inflow and allow only commercial banks to buy and sell as done in the past. |

LordAdam16: Everything you say is true except for the re introduction of gasoline subsidies. The queues that will start forming from this morning will be testament to that. It will get to a state where the politicking must stop as it dawns on Nigerians that we are in a common hole and there is no messiah with a magic wand. The CBN report showed that Nigeria has had no revenue from crude sales since August 2022!! Same for gas which makes the funding gap obvious. The CBN measures are not simply supply related; although that is a large slice of it. Today they have decided to look at diaspora remittances. I am not sure any country in Africa, Asia? South America has a truly independent CBN so let's not flog ourselves over that imperfection. There are tough times ahead. It is my hope that in this dark hour Nigeria will find itself. Thank you for an informed response. |

BreconHills: If NNCL remains the sole importer and uses the I&E window when there is a #200 spread with the parallel market; within a "deregulated" market; then gasoline subsidy is back. The subsidy is applied at the FX end. To be fair, that is better than the erstwhile goings-on when subsidy impacted both the front end (pump price) and the back end (FX rate). It will get to a state where the politicking must stop as it dawns on Nigerians that we are in a common hole and there is no messiah with a magic wand. Thank you for an informed response. Anytime. -Lord 1 Like |

Edipet:Our power sector needs to be revive for local production to improve. Buying diesels at 950 would not bring any progress to our industrial sector. |
