The elites among them have continued too gain and get fatter though but the majority of Yorubas are still extremely poor. If u visit Yoruba land outside the state capitals, you will be depressed. You will encounter where people co-habit with extreme penury, peasants at its dplorable state.
The truth is, Yoruba elites dont care about Yoruba as a nation but about the selected, prominent and lucky few. The rest yorubas are tools to sustaining the aristocratic system

if you think deep beyond your tribal lens you will see that no tribe has ever gained anything (as a people) from having their persons in positions of power.
