AllenSpencer: I know couples saving £1500 every month. You guys should stop making baseless arguments. When you come to UK and want to live in 3 bed apartment, want to drive a car, keep buying what you don't need.... You will end up spending more than you should An average person making 1500 after tax will pay a rent of £600 (all bills inclusive) meaning gas, electricity, high speed WiFi, water, and so on included in the rent. Feed very well with 200 and put another 200 aside for misc. You will be left with 500 pounds savings. Now if you have a good job in NHS or other good sectors you can make over 2k after tax... Now do the maths. If you now have a supportive wife and you move outside London, you will be saving even more 8 Likes |

They've come again. Yes people in the UK are stingy. We give money and attention to our immediate family members, not to scroungers, we don't know y'all from anywhere. 1 Like |

Toks2008: I feel you didn’t interpret the context of his post correctly. Endless migration has messed up the UK… Aside migration from third world countries, even first world European countries migrate in droves to UK because of the strength of UK currency, minimum wage, available jobs and social benefits they will enjoy. Citizens of Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, and other top EU countries migrate to UK in droves. Not mentioning Poland, Romania, Lithuania, etc Now here is the difference between the American migration you posit and UK migration. UK is a small island country with limited landmass and resources, unlike Canada and US that are among the top 5 countries with large land mass. If you are in UK, you could literally see everywhere choked with infrastructures stretch to the limit. Yes, UK is still better than naija 3 Likes |

RaptorX:that mane don’t know places with cheap rent is because it is a blue collar town with service jobs that pay like 9 pounds an hour I also noticed he said he and the wife will be working. So this means they would hire childcare for the children. The childcare payment is the same as the wife’s salary so it makes sense for her to be a stay at home mum Some of these negros are just clueless 9 Likes |

I don't blame them for being stingy. The people I know that are based in UK, Even if I'm close to them, I will only communicate with them for gist. As for asking them for money, is a huge NO for me because I am considerate to know that things aren't easy in UK. If they want to gift me anything, they do it willingly without me expecting it. 6 Likes |

Vinnie2000: You know when people can't cheat you anyhow, they call you names. Britain through prudence, resilience, innovation and living within their means ruled the world. Until US became a World Power after investing heavily to help Britain and Russia defeat Hitler in 1945. Britain had to let colonies go, albeit reluctantly and focus on recovering from the war. In 9ja, we want to live large, spray money at parties, have girlfriends all over the place, etc. We want to be brash like Americans without the enabling environment of America and means of Americans. If possible on the sweat of friends/relatives abroad. UK functions on the foundation of everyone sharing the load, being modest and ready to manage. Even housing in a small Island is modest with 67 million people. Anyone who has lived in other Western countries before living in UK knows the difference. How 9ja folks used your money to play betja while in other Western countries. They never appreciate what you did for them last week. Only entitlement. They don't care about you or how your family abroad progresses. Only about siphoning your money. Anyone abroad killing himself with excessive work to please entitled people na mumu. When you kpeme, same people will say they didn't get enough rice at your enemy's burial. UK is the best place to be to cut the shenanigans of entitled 9ja folks. Whatever they call UK people, fact is our kids have the chance to attend some of the world's best universities. A bonus for their social mobility. No other country the size of the UK has even half as many top universities. That's worth it. 3 Likes |

The average Nigerian is so entitled, it’s so annoying. They don’t care to know what issues you may be facing. If you have a hard time implementing boundaries you will live abroad with absolutely nothing to show. While the same people asking for money are doing way better than you! 2 Likes |

seuncyrus: I'm definitely in agreement with you. Uk is even far, the rate at which some Nigerians depends their lives on others working here in Nigeria is somewhat annoying. I have many of them disturbers on my ends too and they'd always feel like "isn't he working?". When I also have a lot of bills to settle from the mite I earn. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Toks2008: Even to save that 500 pounds per month na war , big war , especially if this so called Couple decide to have kids Like someone said if it’s by how much money you have left after your expenses every month . Uk will be one of the poorest country in the world It’s that bad To see a normal person with just £50,000 in thier savings … very very rare Even when they get it, they are encouraged to get a mortgage with it which is a loan from the bank which requires a initial deposit for the loan to be successful , so the £50k again will go the bank and the bank will probably then help you add £300k to it as loan and send it directly to the seller of the house you want to buy You will now be paying back almost £300k for a 30 years period. Uk is like a very very long term life investment , you Will suffer for almost every year. God knows that 3 Likes |

GboyegaD: At a point or the other, we all needed help. Stop saying people are entitled as reasons not to give. Like a guy his family packaged 2M to support him to go abroad, now things are hard for them at home, to help he says they are entitled. Shouldn't that money contributed be used to construct a poultry farm? 3 Likes 1 Share |

Tumbuleke: I live in the UK and cannot see everywhere, UK has green open spaces die! Well planned forests and farms are so common on both sides of the road when travelling between towns and cities. When doing the about 90 mins road trip from Cambridge to London, there are massive stretches of open fields, forests, rivers on both side of the road as you drive along. 2 Likes |
