Job Responsibilities

Undertake the complete lifecycle of product development, encompassing design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and implementation.
Identify, conceptualize, and devise effective solutions for emerging challenges.
Take the lead in managing all mechanical aspects of the designated tasks.
Participate in meetings, deliver technical presentations, and engage in audits.
Devise systems and components that align with specifications and needs.
Estimate project scope and budget.
Maintain records and ensure the execution of planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedule.
Establish and cultivate a robust safety culture in alignment with Company HSE stipulations.
Conduct research to propose solutions for operational and maintenance issues.
Specify system components or oversee product modifications to ensure adherence to engineering design and performance criteria.
Supervise the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
Prepare engineering calculations, blueprints, and specifications.
The Mechanical Engineer is expected to be exceptionally creative, with substantial technical experience in designing inventive technical remedies in line with group requisites.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc Mechanical Engineering).
At least two years of hands-on Technical and Mechanical Engineering exposure.
Possession of relevant certifications in Project Management, Professional Engineering, and Safety would be advantageous.
COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) certification is an added asset.
Familiarity with engineering design and manufacturing tools such as AutoCAD or similar software.
