We all did Economics while in secondary school so you will be familiar with the law of increasing and diminishing returns.

Today's curve applies to your memory and it is known as the curve of forgetting_.

The Curve of Forgetting (originally called The Ebbinghaus Curve after the German philosopher, Hermann Ebbinghaus, who developed it in 1885) demonstrates how quickly you forget the information you don’t work with repeatedly. This is what it says:

Assuming that you heard ten new terminologies in class on Monday. Your immediate recall is 100% --you can repeat the terms and definitions at the point where you first encountered them.

However, if you don't repeatedly return your attention to these terms and definitions, you will forget about 40% over the first 24 hours. If you wait another 24 hours before reviewing the information, you would have lost 60%. As a result, you can go from a grade of ‘A’ (100%) to ‘D’ (60%) to ‘F’ (40%) in just 48 hours.

Hence, going by the above analysis:

-If you have not been studying what will be the result?
-If you study once per week, what would be the result?
-If you study twice per week, what will be the result?
-if study only on weekends, what will be the result?

So, knowing what you know now about the forgetting Curve, won't you want to study for at least 1 hour a day? I bet you will because you know that the above analysis is factual.
